My 1st "mod" for < $10 - Bell Handlebar Road Stash Bag

Here's my 1st mod - and it costs less than $10 at Target! Actually, I bought this for my mountain bike over a year ago and decided to try it out on my PCX - it fits nicely and doesn't interfere with the glove box or ignition. It's big enough to hold a couple bottles of water or beer or 3 cans of Coke. It can also serve to help protect the family jewels in case of a low speed frontal impact Here's a link to it at Target:

That's pretty neat. Does the weight of water bottles upset the steering at all?

I loaded it up with three 0.5L bottles of Desani before going on a 10 mile jaunt at speeds up to 60 mph and didn't notice any ill effects on the steering or handling of the PCX. BTW, I noticed that a Desani bottle also fits nicely in the glove compartment

As for the 92fs, the dimensions of the bag are 9.2"W x 6.3"H x 3.8"D so it should fit nicely but you'll probably have to leave your Desert Eagle at home

Can't have any of those now. Had a 92f and the slide cracked where the wedges lock up. Part exed it for a 6 inch S&W classic hunter in stainless. That probably wouldn't fit either...

I just ordered one of these bags and am going to pick it up shortly. I've been looking for a bag for months now - this might just be the ticket!! Will advise .....

I wonder if it could rest on top of the upper handle bar holders.

That said I also wonder if it would interfere with the site line to the instruments/gauges. If not then great. . ..

Other than the main hook and loop hold downs there looks to be a little loop at the bottom on one side that can be used also?

Maybe you could wrap the hook and loop around the brake cable, wiring, and front brake hydraulic line just to steady it and keep it out of the way of the knees or rubbing on the paint finish?

Then maybe put a tie wrap around that little loop at the bottom directly to the handlebar. Just guessing about the possibilities from looking at the pictures.

Really nice little bag. Handy place to put energy bars or snacks too. . ..

If I want to carry stuff there I can just put my tunnel bag on before I go. It can handle all that you put in your bag plus much more, and it has a place for a map if I don't want to stop to look at my GPS on my phone. Unfortunately, I haven't found any real occasion to use it in a long long time now.
