So its pretty much accepted that ABS for bikes will become mandatory, even in Yorkshire.
Sorry that link seems broken, I'll try again.
What's to be worried about anyway?
ABS might save your sorry miserable arse one day.

My father-in-law bought a GTS300 in plum. It's beautiful. Much, much larger than the PCX though. Even if I wanted one, I can't afford that now though, Vespas are costly.
Currently ride: Nothing right now - mostly mountain biking with my boys until they're old enough to ride Previously rides: 2011 Honda PCX 125, 2005 V-Strom DL650, 1974 Vespa Ciao, 2011 Honda PCX 170 (tons of mods - takegawa 170cc big bore kit, gears, etc), 1996 Honda Nighthawk 250, 1987 Honda Spree, 2000 KTM 125SX, 2003 Honda Silverwing, 2007 Genuine Buddy 125, 1998 Honda PC800, 2008 Buddy 125 (white), 2008 Buddy 125 (red), 2001 Honda Reflex, 1987 Honda Elite, 1988 Honda Spree, 2007 Yamaha Vino, 2007 Honda Metro, 2x 125cc pure-chinesium dirt bikes
Your father in law is clearly a man of taste.
The price isn't too bad here, PCX list price is £2500, you can now get a Vespa 300 for £3800 which is cheaper than the S-wing 125 ABS list price.
Four decades on two wheels has taught me nothing, all advice given is guaranteed to be wrong
