Lust
I am overcome by lust, I want one, I want one badly, I have to have one, I can't afford one.
So it'll have to be the PCX for now, but maybe after I save some cash I might be able to upgrade to one of these beauties,
ladies and gents, I give you the simply stunning Piaggio X10:

Re: Lust
WOW, that thing is BEAUTIFUL. It has everything I like about the PCX's styling, but is even more elegant-looking.
Any idea on availability? The larger-displacement one might have to be my next upgrade in a few years.

Re: Lust
Looks similar to the PCX and the Burgman, so of course I like the way it looks . Which version would you be interested in GN2; the 350??
2011 Honda PCX, 2007 Suzuki Burgman 400
2 Honda Civics, 5 bicycles and 1 more on order

Re: Lust
nice bike. The 500 would compliment my white pcx nicele. Wonder if the seat hump can move, for us tall riders. I have trouble sitting on Burgman 650 with knees almost touching the fairings.
Re: Lust
Yep it would be the 350 that I would have.
The standard model 350 is expected to be £5000 and the ABS+ASR Executive will be more.
It's scheduled to arrive in the UK very soon, don't know about the USA yet.
AFAIK the 125 is already on sale in mainland Europe.
Servicing intervals are much longer than the PCX and the fuel economy is supposed to be very good too.
The seat hump is adjustable and the X10 is longer than the Burgman 650.
The 500 X10 has push-button (on handlebar) electrically adjustable rear monoshock suspension.

Re: Lust
So half the price of the new Beemer Scooter. Cant wait to see one. Looks like my PCX with its tall Ermax screen. Wish the mirrors were on the fairing though and not on the handlebars. Wonder if you have to pay extra for a centre stand like Honda are starting to do

Re: Lust
It looks like it has a center stand on there, I'd guess it's standard hardware.

Re: Lust
Centre stand is standard, have a look at the link in my second post in this thread .
Mirror placement is a matter for personal preference, I like them on the bars.

Re: Lust
Can't see that there's anything to dislike about them apart from the kph speedo and the shim type valve adjusters.
I was pleasantly surprised when the UK version was confirmed as the Executive with the ABS+ASR at a list price of £5000.
If only I had the money...
Will have to wait at least a year till the PCX is paid up before switching, by then I might be able to pick up a low mileage used one at a bargain price.
I had been toying with the idea of buying a Honda NC700S but think I would miss the practicality of a scooter.
Currently it's between the X10 and the Kymco Downtown, but it will be a while till I have to decide.

Re: Lust
I suppose it's not as g@y as a Vespa or Harley
It gets a good write up in your favourite mag -twist and go
£5k is too much for me for a scooter. You could get a tish hot bike for that. Or a decent car

Re: Lust
But a scooter is just so much better than a bike.
I already have two decent cars and want a bigger faster scooter than the PCX.
The X10 gets excellent write ups everywhere and first impressions from owners are very favourable indeed.
Not sure what I'll change the PCX for, it won't be happening till next summer at the earliest so plenty time to decide.
@Taz, reports are that the legroom is very good, it's got a long wheelbase and the rider seat back is fore and aft adjustable.
The footboard is more than a metre long pic.

Re: Lust
While the X10 has a good write up it is not very attractive in my eyes. At the end of the day it is a scooter for 5k which is cheaper than some of the other new maxi scooters but a lot of money for well ... a bloody scooter.....

I don't see it. To me, that bike is kinda fugly. Looks lumpy and unwieldy. I don't see the kind of sleek lines that drew me to the pcx.

It looks like its been left in the sun too long

Have a look at what you get for £5000 in a motorcycle format these days, not a lot.TC3 wrote:a lot of money for well ... a bloody scooter.....
At least it's a proper scooter and not a scooter dressed in motorbike clothing...
