Off road capable my arse, the thing weighs a ton, well 240kg anyway.
Double the price of an NC750 for not that much more bike.
Still, the poseurs will need one for the Sunday afternoon adventure to the pub.

I.E. More ground clearance and suspension travel than other adv bikes (they complain our Stroms are too low) in the same class. Just a relative thing and not a true off-road bike by a long stretch. Folks are already saying near 100 hp isn't enough. The Super Tenere's are even heavier. 
These folks are looking for a bike that does everything and unfortunately there are tradeoffs. The new Honda leans a bit more off-road than my V-Strom but it is all relative. For true off-road I like the Suzuki DR650 at 166 kg. The wife already said no. http://www.suzukicycles.com/Product%20L ... R650S.aspx

Couldn't agree more. If you want to get off the road, and it's the best fun ever, get a cheap trail bike
If you want to look like an urban warrior go down the simple well trodden tosser route.

Not just that - these guys are using DCT for dual sport. I don't get that. Remember that many of these guys are riding thousands of miles of highway to get to rougher terrain. A dirt bike just doesn't cut it.

Motorcycle.com came out with a hands-on review finally and this thing is gaining a lot of momentum on the forums after that. The 2nd gen DCT performance off-road seems to be a big positive.
