Rode to work today. It felt wonderful. I had to use my old Fulmer 3/4 helmet, but it works.
After the recent thread about mirrors, I realized I had some old Yamaha virago mirrors in the basement with a 10mm base. They have long enough stems that I only see the edge of my shoulders. And they look durn good, if a bit dusty.

I know, after all the "performance" threads we should at least be able sort out a pair of mirrors that work. Maybe off another Honda?

Congrats on getting back on the scoot. Pretty soon riding will not be an option here, and probably not long after where you are.
On my scoot, getting there is WAY more than half the fun!

Your mirrors are exact same as oem mirrors on my Burgman.
Yamaha and Suzuki must share suppliers for some parts.

That's a start. Anyone know of any oem mirrors with longer stems?
Re: back in the saddle again and a reflection of what's behi
OEM CB500X Honda mirrors are exact clones of my Honda Forza's mirrors except for their longer stems.
I changed them out....much better view behind me. (I spotted this one day when my son parked his CB500X next to my Forza. ) There is a post with pix here...somewhere.
Could they fit the PCX?

Anyone have/had both?
Re: back in the saddle again and a reflection of what's behi
I think the Forza had 10mm reversed threads on BOTH sides. It was plug and play between the two Hondas....
What does a PCX have?
About $70 for the CB500X set.
Looked OEM on the Forza when installed.
Sold the Forza. ..sold the mirrors to a Forza owner here.

If you'll look closely, you'll notice that I used one of the adapter posts to reverse the threads on the right side. It's not 100% aesthetically perfect, but it is functional. Pretty much, if you keep the adapter posts and have mirrors with 10mm posts and assuming the thread pitch is the same, you can make it work. I worry more about function than form with things like that, and most people don't notice such a minor little variation.fish wrote:I think the Forza had 10mm reversed threads on BOTH sides. Oh, and to answer your original question, both mirror mount holes are threaded "Righty-tighty" and the adapters connected to the stock mirrors are reversed.
