Re: new pcx150
thank you for the welcome. you'll be hearing from me. picked up the bike last night but upstate ny weather won't allow me to ride for a few days. weekend highs are going to be in the teens with a fair wind chill. can't wait to ride it though

Same boat as you, overthetop. Got a 2015 with that end-of-year allowance, a black one, now in dealer storage until the world thaws out enough to ride. Hope you get some decent weather soon.

While winter has its claws in, you should consider ordering a windshield online or at the dealer. When it does reach that time when the weather is nice, you don't want to have the wind making the ride uncomfortable when all else is great. When I rode our bike home from the dealer it was nice to ride again, but the wind made the ride a bit uncomfortable since it was hitting me on the chest and it felt like it was pushing me backward. After I put a new windshield on it, the ride was so much better. It took 10 minutes to change it out. Of course, if you wanted to add anything else it would also be the time to do that as well.
Currently own:

Re: new pcx150
I've been looking into windshields since I bought the bike. The National Cycle shield looks like the best bet, but they have not brought out a version to fit 2015 and later PCXs. I emailed them about the issue, and they replied that they are working on a version to fit current PCXs. I'll post a note when I hear they stock the 2015 and later version.Mel46 wrote:While winter has its claws in, you should consider ordering a windshield online or at the dealer. I looked at Windjammer's windshields for scooters. I used their shield on my CB550 with good results. Windjammer scooter shields are generic, anchored to the mirror mounts and fitting over the stock instrument shield that comes on the bike. I'd like a custom-fit shield, but I also don't want to wait to ride my new bike, as soon as the roads are dry.

Oops -- I meant Slipstreamer, not Windjammer. Their new scooter windshields are generic, not meant for any particular bike. Here's a picture of the mirror- mount.

Re: new pcx150
The pcx is made to take a winshield mounted with the tabs on the front fairing plastic. Look here for the GIVI winshields. I would never mount on the mirror mounts. I currently run this one, made for the PCX.
