Rollers vs Sliders ? Which is better

I have always turned wrenches but I finally found it time to get an impact wrench (corded) and I also ordered the variator tool (mainly because I have seen people use it for both the variator and clutch).
My plan is to keep this scoot for a looooonnnnggggg time, so both tools will most definitely come in handy.

My next post will have a lot of pics, and maybe I will open another thread on rollers/intstall/ncy.

I can appreciate replacing all the components, but I think this is a little bit out of control in that you can get the impression from reading this thread that you have to do all of them. You do not. As I mentioned above after consulting with Mel here, I just replaced the rollers with 13 g sliders and got great acceleration without really sacrificing any top end, and no extreme behavior.

No you don't have to replace everything, it is personal preference. Depend what end result one wants.

That people replace components and get better acceleration is because of the weight of the components not necessarily the /size/shape.

It is no surprise that Dr. Pulley suggests that one uses 10-15% less weight than stock. This gives an immediately noticeable difference, which satisfies the average owner. Same as would be achieved by 13g conventional weights but...

Depending on variator design the shape of the Dr. Pulley weights may force the belt further up the pulley than stock thus increasing speed.

Sorry if I am the one who might be confusing anyone here. To clear everything up, my recommendation is to find a company that you like and is available in your country and go with that company after doing research. Mix and match parts at your own risk(again, research is your friend on this topic). You do not have to add more than one part unless you choose to.
My choice is to do a few things at one time, and I chose NCY because I found then the easiest to buy, change, etc...

So here is a review of my setup after riding around for over a week.... The more I have been riding it with the new setup, the more I like it. It takes a little getting used to because it will rev quicker and it will change power delivery(NOT night and day, but 100% noticeable). There is no way that I am going back to stock parts, and with each ride as the parts are breaking in it keeps getting better and better.
Acceleration is quicker, Top speed is higher, Not sure about MPG change....

Another satisfied NCY performance kit customer You will see a drop in mpg but nothing that 2.00 a gallon fuel prices would change your mind to put back the stock stuff. I fell back to 84 mpg but remember I push much bigger tires on my PCX. However Chief says "if you put that giant GIVI and load it with your bowling balls it will probably fall into to lower 80's as well."

Not sure of my actual speed, but indicated speed can get to 65-70 mph when needed. I ended up getting the Mega-Mammoth 45L Givi and I love it. Not sure what else to tinker with or break next. Until I figure it out I will most definitely be enjoying the ride.
