For all the wealth of parts available here in Japan for the PCX variations, it's incredible how hard it is simply to find oil filters online.
I can go to a Honda dealer just by where I work, yeah, but that's not the point.
I want to get a whole load of service parts all at once and pay shipping only once on the whole lot, and get Internet prices for the goods.
Of all the parts to have difficulty finding, searching for filters - known both as 'filter' and 'element' (not written in English though), is proving to be a right pain.
No need to spend any time thinking about that for me, I will sort it... I am just moaning. And somewhat surprised.
Oh... Can I use the 2015 125 filter in a 2015 150?
I have to imagine I can, but until I get the manual delivered...?
What? Difficult to get an oil filter? How silly.

There is no oil filter in any PCX, they all have a metal strainer which should last the life of the bike.
Four decades on two wheels has taught me nothing, all advice given is guaranteed to be wrong

Oil strainer kit? Or just strainer, which is simply a small Wire mesh basket to catch bits of crap (scuzi on the crap, but that's the truth)

Re: What? Difficult to get an oil filter? How silly.
Oh right, thanks everyone.
That is why I cannot find one online then.
So, when I bought the bike with 4,400 kilometres on it and said that I wanted at least new oil/filter in it, the dealer should have told me that it requires no filter rather than saying O.K. They did put new oil in it at least.
My Suzuki Address 125 has both an oil filter and an oil strainer.
As it was my first scooter, I assumed all *small* scooters would follow suit.
Well, now I am happy that I shall only have to clean the strainer every 2nd oil change or so, and not have to buy a filter.

Oh wait....
Does the oil strainer housing require a new rubber o-ring / oil seal when opened up?
Thanks.

I'd inspect the o ring and make sure it isn't damaged. If it is damaged, it won't seal. Replace it if you find any cracks or splits or smooshed areas.pxc-in-japan wrote:Oh wait....
