GREETINGS!!! Nice to join you guys!

Post by PCX-MOB »

Got my new 2015 PCX150 about a week ago, been meaning to post a pic. So here it is! This forum has been invaluable in researching my first two wheeled buy, so thanks all. I plan on sticking around.

Welcome to hondapcx.org

Great picture ... and not just because it has a while PCX in it ... but it does help. ;)

Haha thanks! I figured since I waited a while to post a pic I might as well drive somewhere sort of scenic.

The location looks quite familiar. I lived in Mobile for quite a while before moving up to Atlanta for a job...and a career. I wish they had produced the PCX when I was in college down there. It would have been easy to maintain and fun to ride to class. Instead I had an old Honda 350. It got me where I needed to go, but carrying my books required a backpack and I was always afraid that they would get wet when it rained there...or should I say when the gods got angry and started fighting! Atlanta has some mean weather, but down there it was scary. I woke up one morning to find my Mustang in water up to the windshield.
I think you will find the PCX to be a fun bike, though I would put a tall windshield on it, if nothing else, to keep the bugs out of your face, especially when you are around the water/swamp areas. :-)
Currently own:
Red 2013 Honda PCX150

Givi tall windshield & tailbox - Lots of extra lights
Custom seat from Thailand - Bad Boy Airhorn
Takegawa Lowering Shocks - Michelin City Grip Tires
Headlight assy upgraded to LEDs w/HS5 main bulbs
NCY variator, drive face, and rollers

Another (past, heh) Mobilian!

Yea my car had been giving me problems and was becoming more trouble and expense than it's worth. In the few months I've had to make due without a working vehicle me and my girlfriend have been sharing her car without much fuss, so I figured a PCX would suffice as my main transportation for a while until I can save up for a decent down payment on another 4-wheeled ride. It's been doing great so far, I'm sure being in the midtown/downtown areas helps, everything I need is within short distances. Very capable little machine. It definitely didn't take long to experienced the need for a new windshield, what with the termite swarms coming out.

Any suggestions on a new screen? I've seen Givi recommended on here a good bit, but some of the tallest ones make the PCX look a little strange to me, but that's ultimately not a big deal.

EDIT:
Looking at this: http://www.giviusa.com/my-motorcycle/ho ... eld-detail
I think this one (http://www.giviusa.com/my-motorcycle/ho ... een-detail) looks more balanced on the PCX to me, but not really sure if it would do much to really help with bugs or improve wind resistance.
