I noticed the front brake was binding slightly so removed the caliper for cleaning, the pistons are in good condition with no pitting and I got both the smaller centre piston that operates with the rear brake and the lower larger piston that's operated by the front brake working and turning freely by hand however the upper piston remained a bit on the tight side and after working it in and out many times it remains a bit too tight.
If I pop out the upper larger piston for further investigation but leave the smaller centre piston in place will the linked system need to be bled from the lower not particularly accessible reservoir ?
This is no doubt a daft question with an obvious answer for most but I thought I'd ask anyway.
Cheers

Re: Brake system help please ?
The centrre piston is a completely different circuit so will be unaffected by removing either or both of the outer two pistons.
Four decades on two wheels has taught me nothing, all advice given is guaranteed to be wrong

Thanks very much, that's the answer I was hoping forgn2 wrote:The centrre piston is a completely different circuit so will be unaffected by removing either or both of the outer two pistons.
