North Coast 500
later this week going to do the North Coast 55 route in the Scottish Highlands on the Forza 300.
The route was marketed/ launched last year as an answer to Americas Route 66 ( they claim) and also the Irish "Wild Atlantic Way".
I have done much of the route in sections in the past but a first time to do the whole route. Weather forecast seems reasonable so its all stations go.

What days are you going and are you going clockwise or anti-clockwise?

Re: North Coast 500
thursday through to monday..
up the west coast really starting when I get to Fort William...along the top coast and down the East coast.. and finally down through Nairn/Tomintoul/Braemar/ Blairgowrie etc....forecast is sun splitting the skies in the NorthWest with NIL cloud on Friday and Saturday...wee bit colder Sunday/Monday but still OK...and dry.
On the West coast I will detour ride into Achiltibuie and Lochinver my favourite places for views in Scotland.
Pics?...there are two issues there!!!..hopeless photographer and an even worse IT downloader of Pics!!..but I will try...and thanks.

Just in case any lurker unknowingly takes gn2 seriously!!!...this is Scotland...and no I am not retained by the Scottish Tourist Board to post advertising photos.
Just happened to pick the 5 days of sunshine this year in Scotland!!...never a drop of rain..Pics cover Wester Ross and the North Coast.Lots of single track roads with passing places and little traffic. The midgies were out though.
