Why the GTS 300i, Trigg?. You have the new Joymax 300i which has come up recently and it's got 7 more hp, 30 vs 23. Front wheel is 14" vs 13 in the GTS, if I'm not mistaken. Unless you have a bargain at hand with the GTS, I'd go with the Joymax.

I have been having a look at the Joymax and the Maxsym 400 yesterday. Fell in love with the Maxsym, and liked the Joymax. The quality seemed similar to that of a Kymco to me. Definitely behind a Honda, but acceptable. I think they manufacture their own engines and that they're good quality. SYM is a very big industrial group and manufactures from scooters to cars or military vehicles.

Sym use different names in different countries for the same machine.
The GTS is the Joymax is the Firenze is the Voyager.

Not just Sym. Kymco also does. The Downtown is called Superdink here. But Sym sells a GTS 300i here, and now the Joymax.

The new for 2012 "Joymax" in Spain will be known as the the GTS 300i elsewhere.
There are now three model versions of GTS, Joymax Firenze, Voyager, there is the original one nicknamed Cyclops, the Evo and the all new for 2012 version
Oh and I've just remembered, the Cyclops is also called the RV in the US and A.
The "Joy" model which is different is the Joyride, that is available as a 125 and 200 and has a flat deck.

cheers guys, it is the joymax 300i evo im liking, but as i say build quality is my thing,my pcx as with my previous hondas,i clean once a week, maintain it myself and touch wood, they have all been reliable the only corrosion is the old exhaust systems, but a ss one has sorted that on the pcx......iit certainly has a lot of gadgets as well although auto lights on a scoot?? should be on all the time imo. the forums have newer syms with loads of mileage none them and seem to have no real issues. maybe when the dealer gets one i will take a look and see......not sure when they are due as i think its a 2013 model in the uk?

The 2013 model is pictured on the Sym UK website's index page but is not on sale yet.
