Forza 300 Front disk warp.

After about 2000 miles my Forza 300 developed a pulsating when the front brake was applied. The dealership told me this was due to a warped front disk and it was replaced under warranty. Now, after about another 2000 miles, it has happened again with the new disk.
The symptoms on both were the same, starting with just a slight pulse which then developed over about 500 miles to a very noticeable pulsating, especially if only the front brake is used. I feel that this could be hazardous on wet roads.
The rear brake is working perfectly.
Before I go back to Honda I thought I would post on here to see if anyone else has experienced similar problems?

Others have reported theirs are warped. I have a strange bounce/vibration at 120 kmph. I guess I need to check my front disk.

Is there going to be a 2017 Forza 300? Or is the City Adventure 750 the replacement maxi scooter?

They also (dealership) mentioned that the Forza is being discontinued this year and not being replaced. I have had some good rides on it and It did the job. But overall customer satisfaction is low.

There have been reports of warped front discs but warped rears are more common.
Make sure the dealer overhauls the caliper to make sure its not sticking and make sure the wheel bearings are not worn out.

The rear discs warp much less often on combi brake setups. It's a single pot which only gets used in combination with the front brake. It just doesn't generate the same heat the three pots calipers do on the front.

The front is just under rated for the weight of the bike. Three pot calipers are rare on single disc setups, and even more so on such small discs with zero float. Basically, they stop great, but they generate too much heat in an emergency stop, and because they can't float when they expand they bend themselves. So unless you can pull away instantly and keep the discs spinning you bake a small patch and it ruins them.

I have never seen three pot calipers on non floating disks. similar weight scooters have either twin disks (Bergman) or two pot calipers (Silverwing) or floating discs (J300/Kymco/Kawasaki)

Probably not good but the last Forza 300 I saw was on the lifts at AllBikes Rochdale, and give it was a 2014 plate, the corrosion was

No wonder they have none in their showroom ( bar the 125 Forza which I know little about )

What are floating discs?

Disks that have little bobbins in so the swept area is free to float. Sound great but I've never seen an advantage in braking. Exactly the opposite tbh

Floating discs don't affect the performance at all.

They allow the disc to expand when it gets hot.

If they are fixed(Not floating) when they get hot/expand they exert huge forces. This is what usually causes warp.

So I think you are saying, in your roundabout way, without saying it, and yet saying it, is that that floating disks perform better as they don't exert huge forces (on something) and don't warp?

The stopping power/performance is unaffected be they floating or not.

Floating disks can just handle thermal expansion better.
