Yes, I agree as much as I think the Forza has a ultra smooth motor and a good ride it is a bit too heavy and big.
For me I think this is the perfect sized ride

Too bad in my area you have to buy one before you can see it in person. The reviews are excellent for this scooter.

Yep this SYM has a great reputation.....IF you can find a dealer, and if you can find parts.87112 wrote:Yes, I agree as much as I think the Forza has a ultra smooth motor and a good ride it is a bit too heavy and big.

I have the BETTER version of that scooter, it is called a Honda SH150i, better quality, about same HP, parts and service everywhere. I love the large 16 inch wheels, it is just awesome on dirt roads, and rough roads, drives and handles great. Its upright seating position is awesome in the city where rides are an hour or less, and you can see all the traffic because you are sitting straight up, almost like standing. For commuting short trips around the city I absolutely love this scooter. But that kind of riding position SUCKS for long trips, very uncomfortable87112 wrote:Yes, I agree as much as I think the Forza has a ultra smooth motor and a good ride it is a bit too heavy and big.

Make sure you do your homework before trading in your FORZA on something like that, if you do highway trips, you will absolutely hate that scooter. I sat on the FORZA at the dealer, and it is amazing comfortable compared to my scooter, awesome riding and feet position, just no comparison between the two. That is why I am here, and wanting to get a FORZA for longer rides.

I can't agree
if that rode like a BMW I couldn't get past it's looks... nope, I'm adding 'IT' to the SH 150i

Hi all, I actually got a chance to sit on that Sym HD200 EVO yesterday at the dealer, its a leftover 2015 model that the dealer is willing to take 15% off which is a wash once they add in freight and set up : (.
Did not test ride cause without haggling, its 4050 OTD, which is about twice what I paid for my PCX125 which I paid 2060 OTD so that made me pause a LOT. Its not heavy but just feels big and tall of a front end compared to the PCX. I am only 5 feet 6 so that made me lower in the bike of course. The riding position is really sit up straight and I agree it would get tiring for say more than 2 hrs like that. Forzas 300 are hard to find used, and I really only want to buy used. I used to only buy new cars and bikes but now one of those who buy used and than add some miles on it and than sell it for a few hundred less and not lose my shirt, well not with cars but you get the point.
Its been over a year since I rode the Forza 300, it was for less than 10 minutes.
1. Ultra Ultra Ultra smooth motor
2. Best sounding scooter I have ever ridden
3. U turns in tight areas are no match for the little PCX at all, its like u turning a Ford F150 compared to a Smart Car. At nearly twice the weight you will notice it IMO.
4. Feels awesome as in in between scooter. The PCX is too small for freeway rides and the Yamaha Majesty, Burgmans are too dang big at times.

Re: 2017 Model Forza, Will it exist in the USA ???
Maybe just me catching up...but I see that the Forza NSS300 is being offered by Honda UK with nil% purchase interest over 3 years...all other Honda scooters are at around 6% interest.
Perhaps an indication that they are looking to shift stock in advance of discontinuing sales in UK ?....

Honda will not abandon the 300cc segment, something will take its place.

In the USA I bet they will kill the Forza, Canada probably, Europe something new same size, Asia it will continue.Jge64 wrote:Honda will not abandon the 300cc segment, something will take its place.
Re: 2017 Model Forza, Will it exist in the USA ???
The SH300 has returned to the UK market, so Honda will still have a 300 scooter if the Forza is dropped.
Regarding the Sym HD 200 Evo, the one in the U.S. is the old version, it has a 170cc motor which has similar power to a good 125 but doesn't have good fuel consumption to match.
The second version of it the HD2 has even been superseded in the UK by the Symphony which sells for less than the cost of a PCX.
To pay more than the cost of a PCX for a Sym HD 200 Evo would be utter madness imo.
In the US if you want a big wheel step through scooter have a look at the Kymco People GT300i, although more expensive it is absolutely light years ahead of the Sym HD 200 Evo.

I def would take that bet, Honda does not void segments.....I worked for Honda motorcycles corporate for 11 years. They take their product like positioning very seriously. Too many other mfr sell a lot on the 300 segment.

Re: 2017 Model Forza, Will it exist in the USA ???
I would NEVER buy any Chinese, or smaller brand scooter. The smaller companies do not have the financial resources, and technical experience that Honda does, and you will end up with a much lesser quality, inferior design, less reliable product, that can be very hard to get parts for.gn2 wrote:

PRICE: I can find a used Honda or Yamaha for LESS cost than a new, crappy brand scooter. It is pure stupidity to buy on price, but if I was going to purchase based on price, used Honda and Yamaha still cheaper and easy to find.
STEP THROUGH: The idea of step through scooter sounds appealing, the REALITY of it sucks. Poor riding position, uncomfortable, much easier to be thrown off the side, see my post above for full details... A lot of people in Cuba and Venezuela thought the idea of socialism was a great idea until the reality of it punched them in the face, then millions flee the system that sounded so very appealing. Same with step through scooter, be very careful before you decide that step through is a great thing...

Hmm... clearly you haven't a clue about Sym or Kymco.JetPilot wrote:

Both are massive companies building hundreds of thousands of units a year, not just under their own brands but bearing all manner of badges including BMW and Kawasaki to name but two.
The Kymco People GT may not be to your personal taste but it really is an excellent scooter and quality is easily on a par with or better than a Thai built Honda.
Regarding parts availability, I recently tried to get a fork seal for my Forza only for the order to be cancelled and me being told the part was obsolete and unavailable.
Previously I have had to wait nearly a fortnight for official Honda brake pads.
Any time I've needed a part for a Chinese scooter I have not had to wait more than 48 hours.
If a Sinnis Apache can complete the Mongol rally, durability really shouldn't be a major concern.

Hi GN2,
Being able to complete a rally is NOTHING, a rally is maybe a couple thousand miles, that in NO WAY relates to 30,000 miles and years of use. If this is an indication of your thinking, I can see how you come to a lot of wrong conclusions.
CHINESE SCOOTERS: Parts are notoriously hard to get, again you are just living on a different planet that the rest of us.
SYM and KYMCO: Not even in the same league as Honda and Yamaha, and compared to those to, they are tiny, with much less resources... That is how Sym made up such a bad performing Evo 200 that sucks fuel like crazy. Slow, and uses a lot of fuel, that is actually hard to do

But again, there are always people that just WANT to be unhappy about a particular product, and information from those is never accurate.

new SH300 in UK for sale from Honda £4799 at 5.9% interest at same time as Forza NSS300 £4699 at nil%.....has to be a reason.

If there's to be any change it will probably be announced at EICMA next month.
