PCX125 gas mileage for larger riders

For those PCX125(whatever year) owners/riders who are on the larger side, what kind of gas mileage do you get out of your scoot? I have a 2011 PCX125 with only a little over 3,000 miles(basically all city/urban miles).....I'm 6'3", weigh 360 pounds and am getting around 76 mpg....how about the rest of you bigger folks?

Jim, my PCX 150 gets between 97mpg and 106 mpg on average depending on how fast I twist the throttle and how much I jump on the freeway! I am 5' 11" and top off around 270lbs.

Vanbibj, to get the best mpg possible, make sure to help your scooter as much as you can to achieve the best results. Keep your tires aired up a few psi more than the manual says. Make sure to use 10w30 synthetic oil. Even if it's Walmart brand. Make sure to change your differential oil to synthetic also. If you are not doing these things yet, they will add more mpg and roll smoother. I have a 2013 Honda PCX150 and if I run it extremely hard, I'll get between 85-92mpg. If I work at it and take off slower and keep the topspeed down, I have achieved my best of just under 100mpg. Have not cracked into the 100's yet!

Oil make that much difference - really? It's all slippery and not much difference in the mix to be honest (smoother molecules rather than a mix of smoother and not so smooth molecules) - doubt it make's 1-2 mpgs difference if any. The lower weight (thinner) may help a few mpg's (perhaps) but fully synth vs semi-synth - is there any proof (real tests in lab conditions).

I'm 6'2", broad shouldered and 260lbs without gear.
My best tank was 96mpg on my 150, but typically 87-90mpg.

135lbs two fillups here and average 87 and 85 MPG, middle of the road kind of riding.

I'm 90kgs. Completely stock engine. With a mix of traffic jams and open road riding I get 107 mpg or 45 km per litre

And yes synthetic oil does help you squeeze out some more mpg and smoothness. I use Honda oil, conventional btw, 10w30, Idemitsu makes it and I'm switching to a liqui moly full synthetic after finishing breaking in my engine.

Agreed on synthetics making a difference. I use 10w30 Penzoil synthetic and add a little Liqui Moly. I also put the same in the differential/gearbox. I am 6ft 185 and have averaged 107 US MPG (128 UK MPG, 2.2LHK or 45 km's per liter) including the day I bought my 2013 150. That is with the OEM tall windshield and trunk/top box. My fuel economy doesn't suffer from highway use and just slightly with my wife on board. Current tank has been near freezing in the mornings and that is definitely making an impact (plus ethanol winter blend is driving it down). After installing the NCY variator and 13g rollers my economy hasn't changed. But interestingly I need to excellent ate faster to my in town cruising speed to maintain economy.

Update. Worst tank EVER. 2.5L/HK or 94 US MPG. Near freezing every morning and around 13C (55F) on the ride home. I have a short commute of approximately 5KM each way. Winter formulated petrol and cool temps are a real bummer.

I changed my bikes to synthetic and not only does it help gas mileage, but it helps the engine to last longer. Also, if you don't try to jump the light, but rather ease the throttle open, your gas miles will improve. Also, I put a taller windshield on and the wind goes around me instead of hitting me square in the chest. Because of your size it is possible that you are acting as a wind block, which will definitely lower your gas mileage.
