oil siege damage crankshaft ?
i experienced this on christmas ( also a heart break
( bad day ), the engine suddenly stop and cannot start, first i let the mechanics check the variator, the variator couldn't spin look like it was stuck. Then some guys said may be the piston was stuck also they changed the oil and i saw how little oil left in the engine......they filled new oil and do smth that the piston wasn't stuck anymore then the variator could spin but still can't start engine. They said because of the piston and cylinder were scratched and i need to open the whole engine parts to check ( they said there might be a small chance that the crankshaft is damaged ). I need help to know how many % that the crankshaft is damaged though........

Re: oil siege damage crankshaft ?
Kind of went through the same stuff with a jeep, heading into a logging camp slid off the road and tore out the oil pan. Middle of winter and middle of nowhere had no choice but to keep driving it adding some chain saw heavy oil. Finally the engine seized but had made it near to a place with a phone.
Went to retrieve the jeep a few days later, patched the pan and poured in some new oil and voila everything was great. Your bike should start if it will turn over and you have some compression.
I was quite surprised how long that engine lasted
