Hi there all
Linked brakes are causing me some concern, and I don't think I'll ever like them, but hey-ho.
For one thing, when traveling in frost/light snow, the last thing I want is any unrequested influence from the front brake, and modulating it is a black (ice) art in low-low grip.
I have also had a problem at the MOT brake test, where the power at the rear was barely sufficient to meet the required force. I fact, the guy let me away with it, as the extra lever effort seemed only to affect the front.
The brakes have been serviced & set-up, and perform fairly well 300-odd days a year, but I'd much rather have independant control of the brakes, as I do with my other bikes and bicycles.
Has anyone else had issues with the brake during the MOT test? (I'm in Northern Ireland, BTW)? Has anyone done away with the combined element of the PCX brakes? I'm aware that it has possible insurance implications.

Yikes. Popcorn smashed. Bit early for a whiskey, but i might have to get one before sun-down.
For those in mainland GB, is there a requirement for brake tests (Front and rear speparately) as part of the MOT? We have test centres over here, with a rolling road.
