This was so easy and all day I've been out riding rough road to see if it will weep again and guess what? TOTALLY FIXED!

Yep you could make one, it's not worth 7 bucks when you see the tool but you have to appreciate the CRAZY labor to replace seals. I'm so glad it worked but I did lose a thimble full of fork oil using it. It dosent matter much when there's 8 ounces in each of my Buell forks but you should know I don't think there is a way around losing a little oil. Jacking the weight off the front wheel won't change anything, turning the bike upside down isn't an option so you will lose a little fork oil in that first 360 twist then its smooth as silk as you go round again and pull out.you you wrote: Ok that's it I'm going to have to get one. So sweet, nice invention, saved me lots of frustrating work. I can rebuild top ends on engines but DAHAM the fork read in the service manual is like a minefield of things I can screw up... and die. Pages and pages of don't drop this and don't over that... it's mostly warnings

It is sad, I got the word last week. I road to Harley today and the lot was full of riders, all slots full of Hogs. I squeezed the Buell into the walk ramp by the front door and went inside to get a rubber shift pedal. When I came out all eyes were on Eric Buell's creation. 20 shiny Harley's of all shapes and sizes yet the discontinued Buell was all anyone cared to look at. Thanks for letting us know about the new tool. I never saw one of those before. I don't have inverted forks but I wonder if it would work on the older more traditional type fork seals. I've been using gators and fork tube protectors to try to reduce contamination or scratching on the tube surfaces.
Your maintenance videos for the PCX are a big help also. . .

Sadly I heard that EBR is cutting back again. . .and no more Victory Motorcycles either. Although Polaris continues with the Indian line.

If I were you I'd hang onto that Buell and eventually get an "Antique" plate for it (or whatever your state has). My KLR has an "Antique Plate" on it now. . .pushing 32,000 original miles and 29 years. There would have been more miles on it by now but I've had a number of different motorcycles so my riding time got spread around.
