Filling gas tank

Re: Filling gas tank
Considering filling the gas tank in the land of gas vapor recovery ... there used to be a couple of little gadgets sold that would hold the vapor hood up out of the way, so you could more easily see what you're doing.
Not sure of this one, but I found it at http://www.tkat.com/gasthingie.html
But then, I s'pose a pair of locking pliers would work, too.

In California I have to hold the rubber ring (that is there to seal up against the cars filler tube and keep this process polution free) and pull it back away from the font of the nozell before the gas will flow. For some reason the auto-shut off works for me.

Re: Filling gas tank
Which in louisiana I don't have these problems but in California everything gives you cancer right

Re: Filling gas tank
You don't want to breathe the air or drink the water in California.
Everyone who ever died in California drank the water and breathed the air.
And don't sleep in a bed, ever.
Most people who die, they die in bed.
Dangerous things beds.

I spilled my first fill up too! But I always run premium 93 octane in my PCX doesn't cost much extra and should be much better for the bike!

Re: Filling gas tank
Lethal, my dealer - and other posters here - say anything above regular is unnecessary. But as you said, it's not much more, and I'll probably do the same every few fill-ups. Hardly costs anything when you're getting 100 mpg!

Re: Filling gas tank
Yeah my dealer said the same thing but it makes me feel better about it and makes me feel I'm taking good care of my machine. Still under 5 bux a fill up and I go over 100 miles!

Seriously the best fuel to use is the one recommended in the owner's manual because that's what the thing is set up for.

Re: Filling gas tank
&gn2 haha your prob right about the carbs and kids but a little baby fat doesn't hurt anyone
. Don't have kids yet had the same chick for 7 years but not planning on kids anytime soon! Your prob right it's a little overkill but as long as it doesn't hurt anything no harm right?
