I thought about a stripe along the top, but when I held it there it was almost to much for me.Alibally wrote:You could put the stripe along the top as well. Looks good.

Can anyone see from the pictures what I need to finish when I can get the scooter in the garage and up on my lift table? I just cannot work on the basement floor well even if it is carpeted.

That's cool, do silver pinstripe/s along the crease in the body, something like this.

Re: Paint and Pinstripe
Maybe when I get bored with the black scooter. My last bike was all black and I had it for 10 years. But then I never did get bored with that.

Is it the bobbed rear fender? I like where you're going with that, thinking of trimming mine down as well.jlhog wrote:Can anyone see from the pictures what I need to finish when I can get the scooter in the garage and up on my lift table? Before doing anything stupid, make sure there are no uninvited witnesses...
Re: Paint and Pinstripe
Thats a hacksawed fender. I could not stand the look of the fender hanging down there and the cost of a fender eliminator was to much. Hacksaw and a file was free.

Thanks for the inspiration! I agree, the stock fender is too big, and the eliminator kits are high priced for what they include. I have a hacksaw and a file (and a sawzall, grinder, nail gun, belt sander...etc) as well as a day off tomorrow, so we'll see what happens.

Nail gun?
Re: Paint and Pinstripe
There is a nice line to follow already below where the plate goes. That made it easy to keep straight. Post up the pictures of the new "Hacksawed" fender when you git er donecalinaz wrote:Thanks for the inspiration! Hi... Just wondering, what top case is that??.. I have the exact same bike and I really like the look of that top box.. Pin stripes on a bike also look great
....Thanks

Re: Paint and Pinstripe
They come in gloss or matt black. I wanted a gloss black as it matches the scooter better. They aint nothing fancy, but for the price it works!!!

If God rides a Harley this must be jesus's bike
Re: Paint and Pinstripe
Looked up top case and it is just what I want
However, did you just use the mounting bracket that came with it, or did you have to use a different one??? It mentions mounting bracket, but needs a luggage rack
Thanks again
