College uses these guys to keep grass trimmed in the school's large field of solar panels.
(for you city boys - these aren't white cows)

In our area they use goats. I don't know if there is a difference in their methods, but they seem do do it quite well. There are some landfills that have had enough time now that they look like big hills. They are fenced off and the goats graze there.
