OCX Odometer

Post by Yorkie150 »

Rode my new to me PCX 125 today for the first time. It was first reg may 2018 but I believe it to be a 2019 model ( so the dealer tells me ) :)

The total mileage on the odometer was 285 miles.. I got home after a very cold short ride and reset the ''trip'' which had 106 miles on it..

Just been out to the garage and noticed that the Total mileage is now 106 miles and the trip is 0.0 miles

Why has the total mileage changed to the mileage of the previous trip mileage?

Have I done something wrong or is this normal ?

Perhaps the 285 miles was range remaining and when you reset the trip it reset the fuel computer...?
Maybe have a scan through the owner's manual ;)

no, I checked with the previous owner and the total mileage was 285.....I cant understand what's happened...I only reset the trip and the av/mpg
and now the total mileage displayed is showing what was on the trip ( 106 )

SORTED !!!!!!... rang ''local Honda dealer '' - who advised me to '' keep pressing the buttons and you will get it sorted'' ( brilliant technical advice!!)

then rang Rochadale Honda - extremely helpful....advised that the speedo may have been set to MPH yet the AV MILES PER..... may have been set to KM /L at some time or other - which makes the on board trip and odometer throw a proper wobbly...and record incorrect mileage etc

So book out while on the phone....settings are now ALL in mIles / mph / av mpg .

The odometer is now correct and is considerably less !!!!

So I have purchased a 2018 from a dear friend who sadly died this year ...The true mileage being now 122 miles ...

Panic over re mileage but check my latest post ref ABS. :)

Shouldn't be any noise from ABS unless brakes are applied.
