Stop/brake light not working 2013 PCX
I replaced the bulb
I tested another bulb
I get not voltage using a voltmeter
I checked the fuse, it is fine but i replaced it.
Of course, for testing I press breaks front/back
What could be the problem?
Thanks in advance

You need a scooter. Stop guessing. Get a schematic and use any competent voltmeter ! Power starts at the battery, is normally fused. Most cars and bikes work with ground to chassis. A few vehicles may go point to point. For example you cannot ground to fiberglass. Most failures are fuses, bad actual connections, or breaks in the series circuit like a failure in a switch.

Re: Stop/brake light not working 2013 PCX
On the wiring diagram there is only the brake light switch, fuse and main relay involved in getting the brake light to work. There are also three socket/plug in the wiring harness. Not sure what kind of a climate you live in, but if you live in a humid/wet climate, there might be rust in any socket/plug connection. take some pics of what you are working on. It might help.

Please go into your profile and enter your general location, at least your country. It helps us to help you better.
Now, on to the question at hand. You don't need to have the bike running in order to check the brake light. Just turn the key to ON, where the rest of the lights are turned on. The circuit is simple enough. There are 3 wires to it. One of those wires is green. That is common ground. Of the two that are left, one keeps the light on at all times (not in high intensity mode though). That one is brown. The wire that handles the brake light function is green and yellow.
Perhaps this will help you.

Do you live inside the perimeter or in a suburb?
Do you know the history of the bike? Has it been sitting for long enough for a little critter to make itself at home in it? Don't laugh. When I first purchased mine from the showroom a mouse had made a little bed in the taillight area and used the wire coating as part of its bed. I found it when I was checking my tail light. The dealer ended up replacing a part of the harness. It happens. No big deal.

Cables are fine. No rust.
I noticed yesterday there is a piece with two cables. Could be that piece de problem?
It is on the right side of the handlebar.

Re: Stop/brake light not working 2013 PCX
By the way , I had a problem with a leak. I rode it back yesterday.
The problem was the oil cap wasn't all the way down. I changed the oil like a month ago.
Thank you so much for your messages willing to help me. I really appreciate it.
Be safe and watch your hands.

Yeah, that's the brake light switch. I have had intermittent malfunction of that switch on my scoot every now and then. I should probably replace it too.

Did you click and read the link I posted above?
You just provided a photo, here's more describing the parts in your photo. (On my 2011(125) it was part #14 that solved the problem).

Re: Stop/brake light not working 2013 PCX
That's the cable. If the switch doesn't fix the problem, maybe that's the one. But remember I tested and I got no power. So it looks like it could be the switch not passing power.WhiteNoise wrote:Did you click and read the link I posted above?
