Hey what’s going on everyone! I’m riding a 2015 PCX and I’ve seen a few ppl mention that corrosion can get inside the kill switch preventing the bike from coming on. Outside of spraying wd40 in the switch, have you guys done to rectify the problem? Or did the wd40 do the trick?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Kill Switch Corrosion
If a bike is stored outside, put it under a rain-proof cover.

Re: Kill Switch Corrosion
wd40 is a good start (WD stands for Water Dispersant) , but it's not a lubricant and on its containers doesn't claim to be. Others in the group may know of something better, but I'd just use some sort of spray oil to help lubricate the switch and prevent any further corrosion

Re: Kill Switch Corrosion
What you want is CRC-656....a penetrant and elec contact spray...made for electrical switches.....kills/eats corrosion. Spray your key hole as well , if you have one.

Re: Kill Switch Corrosion
We used CRC when I was in the Antarctic. The military depends on it in bad weather and at sea. It works well.
