New seat from Thailand

Post by waveryd »

Just received and installed a new seat from Thailand on my 2021 PCX. This seat has excellent fit and finish and definitely a high quality product. I had them use the optional OEM Honda seat pan and glad that I did. Fits perfectly. Greatly improved riding position if you are a taller person. Highly recommend this vendor, Mr.Mustcha.

Nice looking seat! That's the same place I ordered mine from and I also chose the OEM seat pan. Absolutely no regrets!

I'm very happy with my seat also. 15 days from order to installation on the bike.

So is the front portion of this seat higher than the original? The back part looks like it is similar in height to the oem seat. I’m tall and would love to get rid of the hump on mine.

The front part of the seat is about the same height but removing the hump allows more area to move around and move back and there is still room for a passenger. I'm very happy with the seat. I have also added some mirror extenders which made a big difference. Now I can easily see behind the bike vs. just looking at my arms and shoulders. Now the bike almost fits an average American man.

Parts availability for these scooters is hit and miss here. Seems like everything is more available in the Asian market. Good luck with your search.

Sorry for trying to hijack this post to contact MPrime, after the mention of your seat I looked at the photo and it appears you got the mvp style seat which is what i am looking for. Did opt to adjust it for height, and if you dont mind me asking how tall are you and how long can you ride comfortably on the seat. I will be participating in the scooter cannonball and want to be as comfortable as possible. I am 6'4" 260lbs.

I did not adjust for height but I am only 5' 11" tall and 185 pounds and it fits me well. You might want to add some height to the seat. My seat is very firm which I like but to be fair I only have about 200 miles on it so I'm sure it will break in a bit. I have only ridden a little over an hour in one session which was fine. The key to comfort on any bike is the ability to move around and adjust. I have ridden hundreds of thousands of miles on my touring Harleys and the deep bucket seat is the least comfortable seat unless you need back support which I don't. Flat and pretty firm is best for long term comfort. If you added some height that would likely be in the form of more foam which might be more comfortable for a cannonball ride. I'm very happy with the process of ordering and finished product of my seat.

I ordered the seat I went with m.v.p style with an adjustment for height. I was super impressed with the responses from the customer service, they answered all the questions I needed very quickly and even had me send photos of my motorcycle and seat pan to make sure it was identified properly. I am excited to see the finished product. Hopefully I will have received and installed my new shocks before it gets here.
