Thought I'd check with the hive mind before trying to suss this out.
Sometime around last Wednesday, my Forza started making a new noise upon startup. What I have been used to for the ~18K miles is that I kick up the sidestand, squeeze the left brake, hit the starter button, the bike starts, I release the starter button, and there's nothing apart from the sound of the engine.
Now, when I release the starter button, there's a sound of something winding down mixed in with the sound of the motor running. The sound definitely drops in pitch, is somewhere between a grind and a vibration, and lasts less than a second.
Any clues?

Re: New Starter noise
I do not know as I am deaf. If it starts ride it as fast as you can.
I really should get a normal person to ride my scooter sometime. And my truck also.
Ride it until it breaks. 189,000 km so far but my front tire fell off the rim. I have a new tire on the wheel but the wheel is at my back door. I am 65 and injured. I might get my mechanic neighbour to put the wheel on.
