signed the paperwork. two new pcx's on the way

Post by ryben918 »

I know this is posted a lot but I figured I'd join in. My wife and I just signed the paper work for a pair of PCX150's. Black for her and red for me. I'll post some pictures when we pick them up. It's been a brutal winter in Maine this year. Now I really can't wait for warm weather!

Very nice, I hope you will receive 2014 model, it has many useful improvements. For some time I also considered selling mine 2013 and buying 2014, but then I decided to just buy clock and attempt to remove hump on the seat by myself :)

Don't worry about the 2014 vs the 2013. I don't think the United States will see the 2014 version for another year or two. Just enjoy yourselves. The hump will be a problem as well as the lack of a windscreen, but there are many how-to's on this forum to help you solve those problems. Once Spring comes take them out for a spin. I would suggest riding around a big parking lot first, to get use to the handling and to see how it takes the quick turns. We set up some cones and rode around them to see how close we could get to them without hitting them. The PCX is a very nimble scooter. Now that my wife has gotten use to riding hers, we go everywhere on them with no fear. We took our scooters to the winding mountain roads and had a lot of fun. I think you will find that they are wonderful little scooters, aside from the short service intervals.

Thank you for all the kind words. I brought them home in single digit temps. It was too cold. I finally got a picture of them stashed away with my two other scoots. My wife and started on a pair 1981 Honda expresses years ago, so we've come a long way from those 50cc putt putts. Is it spring yet? ;)

85 elite, and 84 Aero "skelly". My wife loved the Aero. We stripped down the plastics and painted it purple. Besides it being a two stroke, I didn't like the way it rode. I felt something was funky with the steering, but my wife loved it. My elite is kicks ass! That thing is a blast to ride. She didn't like the look of any of the bigger classic honda's. Then we both fell in love with the pcx...
