Hey guy and gals, I just bought my wife a slightly used forza with 234 miles on it. My wife doesn't do forums and I'll be doing all the accessories and maintenance so I thought I better join. She has a Buddy 125 and I hope the transition goes smooth.
In case your wondering I ride a Kawasaki Nomad 1600 and my wife doesn't like the back seat.

Welome Okie,
Don't blame her about the back seat. After she adjusts to the extra power/size, she will probably like the Forza. Some don't though.
Either way, congrats and good luck.

Re: New member in Oklahome
You may find yourself riding the Forza more than your Nomad 1600.
I had a 2006 Kawasaki 1600 Nomad for about 4 years. I purchased a Suzuki Burgman 650 also in 2005.
The Nomad just sat in the Garage, not being used, because I always rolled the Burgman 650 out to go some where.
Now I also ride the Honda Forza half the time. So I sold the Nomad 1600.
The Kawasaki 1600 engine runs very hot, and affected me on my commute to work. It is also a very heavy bike.
Never looked back, since I started riding scooters.

It is a blast to ride I just took it on a 40 mile ride between rain storms. If I road it all the time it would need highway peg it's just to short for me.mikecalderone wrote:You may find yourself riding the Forza more than your Nomad 1600.![]()

I can do 5 or 600 miles easy on the nomad I don't think I could do a 100 on the Forza. Just to cramped
I never noticed the heat unless it over 100* outside and your in stop and go traffic.

You have a nice looking Nomad. Mine was green. Your correct in the stop and go, and we have many 100 degree days here in CA.Okie scoot wrote:And it's little bro
But it is still not OK for the the engine to get so hot and the fan starts blowing the hot air right up in your face. The Nomad engine is water cooled.
Other than the heat generated by the engine I did like Kawasaki Nomad 1600, very cool bike.

Re: New member in Oklahome
Aside from your bad spelling, welcome to the forum. My wife and I tried to sit on the Forza but the seat was way too wide for comfort and that prevented her from being able to touch the ground comfortably. We both have PCX 150s now and after buying new seats and tall windscreens, we enjoy long rides. No, they don't have the power that the Forza has, but if I had wanted power I would have kept my Burgman 400, which was a beautiful scooter. Even my short wife could ride it, though riding in the city would have been very difficult for her because she is only 5' tall.

Nice Forza AND Nomad! My father in law has a Nomad and he loves riding my PCX lol.
You think that's bad? Sheesh... you'd flip your lid if you went to other online forums.Mel46 wrote:Aside from your bad spelling, welcome to the forum.

Hey Okie, welcome to you and your (quiet for now) wife
She'll be giggling soon scooting around on a bit more Forza power than her quick lil' buddy. Keep us posted on how the love develops...

Re: New member in Oklahome
So far my wife has been riding the forza a week. I think she likes it she hasn't been back on the buddy but I have. I kind of like that little thing. I think I would like it better if it was a PCX?
So I think I'll be selling the buddy in the next month or two and looking for something a little bigger.
Either a PCX or maybe a Majesty. These little scoots sure are fun.

Re: New member in Oklahome
It has always been better to learn the correct way than to defend the wrong, but to each their own. My brother lives in Oklahoma too, and his wife can't spell either. My problem is the opposite in that I have 2 degrees, one being in English and the other in Computer Engineering, which makes it difficult to ignore incorrect spelling and usage. I, like many others, worry that the English language will someday not be understood by others outside of our own country. I am not trying to be a bully, just like your teachers were not being bullies when they tried to correct you in school. The more anyone is aware of the correct way to speak and write, the more they will make an effort to correct themselves. This also helps when the individual needs to interact in the business world, such as giving possible employers your resume. So perhaps you would like to advance in this world and my efforts or your teacher's efforts may help you in that effort, if you make the effort to accept some criticism and use it to better yourself. After all, it is not you personally that is being discussed, but rather your use of the English language, which is correctable.
