Rear mudguard

Post by Renovatio »

Hi!
I have made the protection for rear wheel. I like when the engine and all equipment is clean. Radiator also closed. Standard protection is not very good, the dirt gets inside. Made it from a rubber sheet, secured with plastic clamp to the frame. Made an incision at the level of the air hose. This rubber uses in our factory for the manufacture of sealants for industrial equipment. In the middle is reinforced with a special cloth.
If i found rear hugger i would put it too, but my protection is the most complete.

I rode after the rain, rear mudguard works fine, the reverse side is clean. It also protects from sand and small stones flying off the wheel. Mudguard dimensions 370x250mm.

I thought the pictures quite clearly demonstrate fixing scheme.
Top mudguard attached to the scooter frame. Over the mudguard on the frame has a transverse tube. That pipe in the middle is flat, but the edges bent upward. In places of the bends I attached two plastic clamp. Bottom edge of mudguard is not fixed. It should move with the rear suspension. He bends, but does not move. Red line, I showed that mudguard inserted into the groove between the plastic casing and the frame pipe to which are attached plastic clamps.
