2nd service on my PCX 125
Hi all. Just had my second service completed at my local Honda dealer at a cost of £98.66. I noticed the cost was all labour apart from £8.60 for the oil. Would it not be normal to change the filter as well ? My bike has only covered 1300 miles, but the filter must hold some oil, so would you mix old with new ?
Re: 2nd service on my PCX 125
Like most small capacity machines, it doesn't have an oil filter.
There's a metal strainer which they will have cleaned.

Why do you feel the need to constantly carp on about how cheap things are in Thailand?
Seems like you're trying just a bit too hard to convince yourself things are good out there.
Me I would rather live in the UK.

And yes, almost £100 is a lot of money... That's why most people I know change their oil once the bike is out of warranty...

Peace between users!
Thailand (in my opinion) must be an absolute Paradise, with pros and cons and, as I mentioned, I would not mind living there in the future, but we must admit that living in an European country also has its benefits
Talking about the scooter, here in Spain when you buy the PCX, you can pay €150 extra, and you get a total of 4 years of warranty, insurance for the first year of ownership, 15% discount in original accesories that you purchase with the bike and some other extras, but if you want to use the warranty, you have to do the services in Honda dealers or authorized workshops, so the Spanish PCX owner also has to go to the dealer and pay top dollar (or in this case Euro) for the services. I wish we had Thailand's prices!!

Daiy Mail reader, bit of an oxymoron.
Remember the UK only exists because like so many other things, Scotland created it.

Re: 2nd service on my PCX 125
I have lived in four different countries and visited several others. I wouldn't necessarily call Thailand and absolute Paradise, but it certainly has been an enjoyable experience living here for the past 2½ years.pcxpower wrote:Thailand (in my opinion) must be an absolute Paradise, with pros and cons and, as I mentioned, I would not mind living there in the future, but we must admit that living in an European country also has its benefits![]()
What I have found in life is that each place is generally what you make it to be. If you have a bad attitude about it, it likely isn't going to be an enjoyable experience. But if you look at each place as different (not wrong, weird or strange), then you are like to have a lot more positive experiences than negative ones. I have also found that those who have traveled little tend to be more ethnocentric than those who have traveled beyond their own culture.

I absolutely agree, and in my case, I have also lived in three different countries and is good to know other cultures, so that one can compare with his/her own. I still have not visited Thailand, but I'm sure that I would like it

Apparently England is investing £2 billion in Scotland to get it in a fit state to close down

I don't mind where I live. The winter does screw things up. Thailand does sound fun. Can I carry my pistol there?
