That was close!

Post by Bash On! »

Almost traded-in the PCX yesterday. Was looking for a bike with a little more horsepower, and electrical robustness for radios and warning lights for use escorting public service events like bikeathons.

Local Honda dealer had a PD trade-in 2005 BMW R1150RT-P police bike. Good price but potential for very high repair costs (more than the value of the bike) scared me away.

Still contemplating, though. And thus still putting off installing the radio and strobes on the PCX.

Best,
Bash

Makes you wonder why the police department is allowed to afford BMW. In Chicago we call that yellow light tampering traffic light camera scam and someone needs to go to prison soon or we will be in the nightly riot news.

Cute.

I had an ex-police bike once. It was a Honda CT90 Trail 90 (!) from the U.S. Capitol Police. Actually got a speeding ticket on it, believe it or not.

Look at the "PCX" badge--the image is reversed.

But the police lettering is correct. It's a ten minute photoshop job
