Im looking for something to put on my Screen...

It came with a dealer sticker on there above the Honda one,
which I removed and had a graffiti type one on there,
but it was pealing abit to took that off but it left a horrible sticky outline,
so I then put some Stage6 ones on there until I could find a decent one...
im looking on taking them off tomorrow and giving the screen a good clean,
im hoping cillic bang will be ok to use to get the sticky bits off.....?
but im also looking for a decal/sticker/vinyl to put on,
I was hoping to get a big Honda Badge in red (themes black/red)
or theres a 'eat sleep honda' one I seen,
or if anyone else has come across any others....
or whether it would be good to get a patterned vinyl and vinyl the whole screen?
maybe carbon vinyl.......
been trying to look for photos online of what people have done to theres but havent seen many,
ones I have seen have been basic stickers...

+1 on screen preservation, these are magnets for minuet scratches and I don't see me putting with a wind screen like the stock one long if that's how these wear normally. So who do we see about that? HeHe here is mine currently, sorry couldn't resist a plug for the big guy.

You can get 'sticky stuff remover stuff..'....cannot remember what it's called...will search garage and post name if I find it...dont know if use is ok with screen but should think so..

If you are in the US, "Goo-Gone" is a really good product. WD-40 will often work as well to get gummy residues off, and you likely have a can of it kicking around. I would, however, first try a dab on the inside of the windscreen to make sure nothing evil happens to the plastic.

I have used this stuff on my acrylic boat windows with good effect. It takes a while and some elbow grease, but does get rid of light scratching.

One of the better non-toxic decal/sticker/stickystuff removers I've used is common olive oil.

Cut a piece of clean cloth the size of the decal, soak it in olive oil and lay it over the sticky/sticker? area.
It will cling to all but the most vertical of surfaces. Leave it there 10-15 minutes and the gunk should wipe right off.

This process can be used to remove decals in easy stages by alternating soaking it then peeling up the edges so the olive oil can soak a little deeper each time.

It does dried bug splatters too and olive oil has never dissolved anyone's windshield, as far as I know.

GeorgeSK has it right. If in the U.S. , GooGone is the stuff to use. I work in the glass industry and we use it on all our plexi and polycarbonate windshields .

goo-gone...thats the name/stuff...nice tip re olive oil..
for old decals( removed some really old ones off a push bike) I just heat slightly with a hair dryer and they neatly peel off.

Actually used Cillic Bang and it got rid of all the marks :-)
i've ordered my custom white vinyl design as well, cant wait to get it!

I would like to keep the stock windscreen but its going to be the one thing that has to change. I've no need for a taller one as I ride for the open air feeling and never in bad weather because it's strictly recreational for me. So would like to have it carbon fiber wraped and will seek to do so this winter.

I like the 3M product and will do it myself. Not real carbon fiber, it's vinyl. Looks the same but feels a little different I understand. Very forgiving with no residue according to many good reviews. I think it will be perfect to put that touchy windscreen out of mind forever.

I want to get a proper H badge to put on the bottom of the Screen to replace the Honda sticker though.
