2011 PCX125 -- My new purchase!
I'm so pumped about my new purchase! A 2011 Honda PCX125 with only 500 miles on it. I bought it for $2200. It's just awesome, as most of you on this forum already know.
Looking forward to taking excellent care of this baby. Both standard maintenance and possibly some aftermarket stuff to give the 125 a little more HP (air filters, exhaust)
Where's the best place to get both stock and aftermarket parts for the '11 PCX125? I live in Northeast Ohio. U.S.A.
Any suggestions on improving performance?
Thanks for your help in advance.

Re: 2011 PCX125 -- My new purchase!
Hello and welcome to the forum. Have a look through the performance section of the forum, there's plenty of info in there. I'm in the UK and have got parts from webike in Japan. The postal service is excellent.
Don't expect miracles unless you go ahead and fit a bigger barrel and piston, but there can be tweaks made to help it a bit.
Fitting a set of Dr pulley sliders to the pulley is a cheap mod that helps a bit.
Have a look at maddiedogs threads, he's got the same bike as you and has done some performance mods.

Awesome. Thanks for the warm welcome, and the advice. I'll page through the 'Performance' forums. I'll definitely check out those pulleys as well. Are they easy to install?

The pulleys and rollers or are quite straight forward as long as your reasonably mechanically competent. There's plenty of videos on youtube and there is a how to somewhere on this forum.
Some members seem to like the ncy pulley kit and the takegawa kit is popular as well.

Welcome to the forum(s) and congrats on getting Your New Toy!
Adding pulleys, rollers and the like to make yer scoot respond faster (or is it to make it faster?) is not my thing, so I'll leave that for others to answer... Like Ali, he's on it already! He rocks!

Mr. Noise,
Is there any suggestions you have to improve the scooter? Or just leave 'er alone...

Best way to improve a PCX is trade it for a Forza.
Four decades on two wheels has taught me nothing, all advice given is guaranteed to be wrong

Re: 2011 PCX125 -- My new purchase!
Patrick, curious minds wanna know, right? Well, My fixings would only be for show "if" I did anything at all. Like what?
Higher Windscreen, rear rack, top box, wheel tape, some hi-viz tape scattered about the bike and a few chosen decals, some artsy touches, more lighting front n back, heated grips, a feel good custom saddle, louder exhaust (maybe?), some small flush mounted speakers, accessory hook, + more things like that.
Not performance oriented.
What is it that You want to accomplish? More speed? Faster off the line? I say, buy a "second" bike that "takes you there"
Haha! Why am I hearing this Again:...."It's all about that Bass, 'bout that Bass...not Treble"
2yous knows
At This Moment, I suggest you ride your beautiful new stallion and enjoy it as is. See if she speaks to you later. She may be happy, just the way you are

Mr. Noise,
I got a kick out of that post. Haha. Definitely planning to make this hog "mine" both in performance and fun/practical add-ons. Do you have a pic of your PCX?

Re: 2011 PCX125 -- My new purchase!
Whatever makes you smile! It's all good Patrick.
I had a 2011 White PCX like yours. I now have a 2015 White PCX. Photo's are scattered throughout the forum. No enhancements on the '15....yet.
Whoops! Soft sidebags, tunnel bag, tailbag, handlebar H2O basket & Michelin City Grips, I forgot I have them. Tires not mounted yet. Some members here have and like the better grip they provide (esp in the wet) over the stock IRC'S. Other's are fine with the IRC's.
Here's a question...how did you come up with starkdog24? Funny. Why not starkhog24?

My last name is Starkey. I thought it was so clever when I was a young lad
. My username has been a part of me since '99! If I could go back tho, I'd definitely change to "hog!"
This scoot should pay for itself in roughly 2 seasons, so hopefully I will be in the 150 category in a few more years.

If I recall correctly, and I think I do, the 2011 version was the one that had the center stand issue. Some members took their center stand completely off. If you are going to do anything for your new purchase, read about the problem and be aware of it.

Like you said starkdog24, Someday (perhaps not too far away), you too will be riding a 150 or perhaps even bigger cc PCX. That would be cool!
Hey! just in case you haven't found her riding around the forums yet, here's a pic of my 2015 White 150(3) esp from our last December ride. Gosh, that seems so long ago
