Just came across this in the Forza forum: "Same thing happened to me for the fuel pump recall. Rode 30 miles in a cold rain. ....to open the mega Honda dealer.
They started on it first thing. .....broke the rear panel.....rolled in their floor model. ....broke that rear panel too. Many hours later I rode home in cold rain. Two weeks later they came to my house to install the new panel! Two things....the boys were scared to death of those panels. ...and NOBODY visits a Honda motorcycle dealer on a cold rainy day!
I drank all their Keurig coffee..ate half their donuts and their roastbeef sandwich. Read every cycle mag and bounced on every Honda in the store, twice.
They also told me scary stories of the PCX's that come rattling and clanking in for service because owners never had valves serviced. Ever."
That last line brought to mind the discussions I've read about PCX valve adjustments. If you take your bike to the dealership to have it done, make sure they really do it. Better yet, learn to do it yourself. After all, there are only two -- I used to deal with eight on my old CB550s. I bought a valve adjustment tool that fits the square post on the stem, and I'm counting the miles 'til I reach the break-in service at 600.
And what's the deal with Forza recalls, and all that talk about unreliability? I had slight twinges of regret about getting a "little" PCX rather than a Forza, until I read a few posts in their forum. I don't think I've ever come across so many complaints about a Honda product.

Re: Valve adjustments
I'm sure you should check them valve tolerances at some point during your ownership or if having purchased a well worn PCX, it would be on my to-do list but not at 600 miles. That has proven itself to be a hustle seemingly to give Honda an out with their weak one year warranty (6 months real time with 4 seasons) Shameful they lack such confidence in their bikes they feel the need call for a valve check to keep a very lame warranty and they should fall on their swords like the old days.
As for Forza...
