Hey guys, i would like to know if this specific motor oil will work for my 2011 honda pcx125. Thanks

No reason it wouldn't. It fits the specs in the manual. I've been using MOTUL, but I push my scoot pretty hard.

hey i currently can not afford to get a valve check. Do you think i can ride around 1500 miles before doing the valve change, coolant change and brake fluid change. I heard people say that if your brake fluid is not dark you don't need to change it. Im kinda confused. Thanks.

Brake fluid should be changed at least bi-annually, though I've had professional mechanics with many years of experience tell me annually is best. Color of brake fluid is a good indication of age/deterioration. Very dark fluid should be changed as it is probably several years old or has somehow had contaminants introduced to it, and the process is insanely simple (see my brake fluid change video in the how-to section).

The valve clearance check can probably wait til the odometer ticks over 6,000 miles, so long as the machine in running right. I'm not sure why you would change the coolant at 1500 miles on a scooter that's less than two years old. Your oil should definitely be changed after the machine's first 600 miles and you should check and clean the oil strainer. That's one I definitely would not let go. After that oil changes are at 2500 mile intervals as per your owner's manual.

You really should be referring to the owner's manual on all this stuff. It has a handy little maintenance schedule chart. You should find the charts on pages 89 and 90.

Sorry, my bad, I thought I saw your model year as 2015.

If the brake fluid is a light yellow color and the system has good pressure, changing the fluid can wait. If the brakes feel mushy, the fluid should be replaced. If they feel firm and responsive, you should be fine. Remember though that regular brake fluid replacement every year or two will prolong the life of the hydraulic brake system.

As for the coolant, it's likely fine. It's in a closed system. The only reason a flush and fill was ever suggested was due to the age of the scoot and how long it had been sitting. It wouldn't be a bad idea, but I doubt it's a make or break issue.

The reason I recommended checking the valves originally is simply due to how long the bike sat. If you run it and it seems fine, it can probably wait; however, there's a good chance the scoot sat with one of the valves open while it was waiting for you to come along and rescue it, which could have affected the associated valve spring. It's probably just fine, but again, these were recommendations, not ultimatums. If it seems to run fine, it might be ok to wait. Without seeing the bike myself, I can't say for certain.

The manual specifies:

API spec SJ or higher
JASO T 903 standard:MB
Viscosity: SAE 10W-30

Same specs as the engine oil.

But my oil says Jason ma-2, Api sl

Can I cause damage to tranny by overfilling. In my neighborhood there is slight hill so it's hard to make it flat

I can only tell you what the specs say, and my manual is for a 2013 PCX 150. I prefer to use what the manual recommends rather than something else. If it were me, I'd return it and get the recommended oil.

Part synth is fine though.

If you follow the directions in the owner's manual and service manual, you should be fine. Basically, the oil should come just up to the rim of the fill hole. so long as the surface you're working on is reasonably flat, you should be fine. If there's a slight grade, just put the scoot facing uphill and stick it on its center stand. If you're dealing with a steep grade, then you really need to find a flat surface.

What should I do. I added the new oil in both engine and transmission. What are the damages I might have caused. In so stressed now

But it says to use mb but my oil says ma-2. Can I use both in my transmission and engine

MA or MB makes no odds because it doesn't have wet clutch.
