Ignition shutter open with steering lock on?

Hi all,
I think a while ago I read about a mod that allowed you to lock the bike, steering lock on, without the shutter coming down.... Saved it but can't find the bookmark
Is this possible without destroying the shutter (drilling)?
Apologies if this has already been asked, I've searched and can't find it. I'm happy to be pointed in the right direction
The end of my key is getting pretty rounded now.....

Mine works this way. It does not close . Only sometimes. Maybe it's just dirty, but it worked that way from the beginning.

Personally when mine doesn't close it is due to water, a little WD40 sorts it.

There are two types of shutter.
The newer one closes automatically on key removal, the old one stays open on key removal.
