What does your keyring look like?
I've never felt comfortable letting all of my keys dangle out in the open when riding on my scooter so I usually keep my scooter key separate from my other keys. I have quite a lot of keys on my keyring and have had several keys get loose in my pocket and come off my ring before and that helps contribute to my paranoia.
Does anybody else do this too or am I flying solo on this one?

I'm with you, Big Mike.
I keep my bike keys by themselves, with just a small ring on them so I can hang them on my keychain when I go into the store or restaurant. Otherwise they stay in my toolbox.
I figure you can tell a lot about the previous owner when you look at used bikes by seeing whether they let their keys beat up the area around the ignition switch or not. Most of the time the ignition is right in the middle of the triple tree, so it's right in front of your face. That kind of thing makes my OCD meter go through the roof
, but I've come to understand that some people don't even notice it.

Just the bike key with a separate set in my pocket for everything else, otherwise it would rattle like mad and probably damage the paint.

Re: What does your keyring look like?
I'm always concerned about wearing out the ignition on my vehicles. I try to reduce the weight on my learnings by separating them according to purpose. All non-vehicular keys go on one ring. A key for each scooter, with a house key, goes on the second set, the the third set is car keys. This keeps weight down while allowing me not to lose my mind.

Do any of you keep a garage remote on your scoot?

Re: What does your keyring look like?
Key on my key ring but a seperated ring for pcx to get good angle for the hex window , 2x 2 piece of paint protection film to protect paint below ignition.

In Thailand, my bike came standard with an alarm. So the key ring has the bike key and the alarm remote.

Re: What does your keyring look like?
Mine came with a thin flimsy ring, so I replaced it with a better one that came with a scrabble tile key charm (?). Also attached to the ring are capsule for storing my earplugs, the remote, and karabiner. And the red key is for topcase. This is rather bulky now that I think about it, but I need them all, including the charm

Re: What does your keyring look like?
I run a little titanium clip/bottle opener that holds the keys secure in my pocket. I used to swap out car key for scoot from my bag, but stopped this when I locked the bag under the seat with the Honda key on it (whoops!). Thankfully, I was at home, and I grabbed the spare, but I would not want to be stuck out in the world with my keys locked up.
I also cut down the key for my top case, making it easier to haul around.
Oh, and i do have a small garage opener clipped to the bars on the right side, but nothing on the ring.

It's round.
2013 PCX 150 [now an ex-bike, soon to be consigned to the bottom line of the sig]
2013 Silver Wing ABS (Black)
1971 BMW R75/5 (White)
Too many ex-bikes to list, and, besides, who really cares what we used to own?

Bigmike7801, I have a garage remote inside the flap on the left hand side, I have a Hormann garage door and I use the remote that fits into the charging port, very handy indeed.

Hmm...garage remote in the glove bin. Will think on that.
Okay, I'll play. Here's my key (woot! A key! Fabulous!
) and a mini but very bright flashlight that runs steady or flashes. Also a whistle. Don't ask....I will not jinx meself with "could be" "what if" stories. I was talked into that one! All added bits are plastic and lightweight.

Re: What does your keyring look like?
Single key on a soft lanyard or parachute cord (that's it) for each bike. I just replaced the badge on the triple tee because previous owner must have had a gaggle of keys flopping around. Just too easy to mare up things on a motorbike given the quality of ride we get on the road. The best shocks won't keep a hord of keys from doing a job on your finishes.

Enjoy your keys and key rings while you can. They are a thing of the past.
