how is your scooter doing in this heat?
I suspect we are enjoying a very good experience being scooter enthusiasts in the heat compared to street bikes. We don't have open chassis with heat rising up steaming our underwear at the stop lights or in traffic slow downs. We should note our good fortune because not so much in the winter when we get brass monkey balls.
Radiators are working properly?
No one getting any idiot lights?
It's all good boys and girls

Mine's been fine, but I've had three migraines.

Re: how is your scooter doing in this heat?
It has been very steamy here (temps consistently over 95 F), but the PCX is handling it just fine
In fact, better than my last scooter, which was carbed and did not seem as well cooled
I topped off the coolant the other day, just in case

Thursday I rode for four hours meandering around the countryside.
I bought the scooter on 12 September 2013 and that was the first leisure ride I've done on it.
On Friday I rode to Edinburgh and back, another five hours or so.

I second the carbureted scooter thing. My Piaggio bogs down in temps about 85.DailyRider wrote:It has been very steamy here (temps consistently over 95 F), but the PCX is handling it just fine

I guess nothing beat the heat over here in asia. I have 32 degress cel and I can feel my radiator fan blowing hot air at traffic jam. Lose a few leg hairs in the process

I have been riding mine in almost 45 degress uphill in the mountains.
I've had no issues so far.

Y'all know that 95 F = 35 C
and 45 C = 113 F (yikes!)

Re: how is your scooter doing in this heat?
PCX does seem to be competently tuning itself for extreme heat. So Honda pride parade might be in order.
My Buell is hating this humid hot stormy weather. Rather than fight with her for a better tune I decided a good time to take her apart and change oil, gearbox fluid, primary chain tension inspection and the dogs for anything fun to fix until the heat lets up

My husband says that summer can be hot, humid and gross in Japan. (He has been there frequently for work.)

Re: how is your scooter doing in this heat?
I own a PCX and a Honda ST1300. After I ride the ST1300 in Tampa (Feels like heat index 108 F) and then ride the PCX - it feels like an air conditioner. PCX is no issue in real heat. I just have to wear white long shirts and have a turbo-cool wet towels around my neck and then all is good.
