1 can the pcx go for 30,000 miles?
2 and how many miles for real b4 the valves need to be adjusted?

1. Easily
2. After first two adjustments quite a while. My wife's bike has 13,000 miles on it and after the first two valve adjustment I only changed the oil. It still runs fine.
3. Both of our bikes are 2013 models. Only the clutch bearing has been a problem. Everything else runs great.

Congratulations!!! you have the faster model, bet you didn't know that. So where do you live now? Use your profile and folks can help with geographically relevant information if you like. This is the rear wheel bearing kit and how to check yours so Mel dosent spook you with that issue. It's maybe 35-40 dollars.

30,000 miles? You'll need to stop for petrol at some point.

mine came with 2 helmets and a cover. be nice to get 90 mpg

just 90 mpg? Unless you weigh 250 - 300 lbs you should get 100 mpg or more.

As far as tires go, I would recommend Michelin City Grips. Unfortunately, they are hard to find right now. You may have to order them online and wait until they can be shipped. I have had great success using the Internet. Some of the stores include Revzilla, Bikebandit.com, motorcycle superstore, and I am sure there are others. Compare prices...including shipping...to see who has the best deal. Remember that they are a high demand tire so more than likely they will be out of stock, but paying $50 online vs $100 at a dealer makes it worthwhile to wait for it to arrive.

By the way, we use to ride through Gainesville a lot when we were riding, so you aren't far away. We live in East Cobb, close to Roswell and Sandy Springs...just a quick scooter ride away.

Just a few things I would do with that mileage on the machine. I'd probably change the oil just in case. I'd also use a hydrometer to check the coolant to make sure it is still in good condition. Because of the age of the bike, I'd recommend you flush the brake fluid, and check and adjust the freeplay of the left brake lever. Additionally, it wouldn't go amiss to check the drive belt and pullies for wear. Lastly, a valve clearance check might also be on order.

At 9,000 miles I would definitely check the belt and rollers. We changed my wife's at 10,000 miles. As the belt wears the top end goes down. That is just the way of the scooter.
If you are going to change the belt, change to NCY 13 gram rollers at the same time. These will give you quicker off the line times, which is good when in town.
I would recommend sliders instead but you may decide to upgrade your variator at some point to the NCY variator and drive face in order to increase your top end to 75 mph instead of 64 mph. Sliders would not work with the NCY variator because of the coating on the variator.
The other things that were recommended are normally things you would have checked at the dealer if you buy a used scooter anyway. When I purchased my used Burgman I brought it the dealer immediately and had it serviced...including changing the oil and checking brake fluid, etc.
This is a Honda, so it should not have much wrong with it, BUT it is prudent to have used bikes checked over to make sure everything is in order.

what mpg will it get in the city? I'm afraid to have the belt replaced I'm afraid they will say they did it but wont do it.iim a tad paranoid

If you ask them to check the belt and they do not (it takes all of five minutes), or change it and they do not and they charge you for a new belt, then they are liable if the belt fails.

I've found that I get my best mileage when I'm riding 35-50 mph roads with no stop and go. My mpg drops in the city or if I hit the highway. Again, the range I got when my scoot was stock was between about 90mpg and 110, depending on my riding. It's a variable, not a constant. I also weigh about 185-195 (also not a constant)

We take our bikes to Cycle Nation of Canton. They are honest, and reasonable. They know the PCX, inside and out. I bought mine there. We bought our first one from a dealer in Marietta which I would not recommend. We drive out of our way to the Canton dealer because they have been so good to us. Heck, if you buy the belt and rollers I will change it for you just for the fun of it.
Maddiedog only lives a few miles from me, so if we get into trouble some time in the future, we could always enlist his help. He no longer has a PCX but he knows my bike from top to bottom. He is one of the PCX whisperers.

the PCX forum owner no longer has a PCX... then what does he ride a 4Z?

egg, if you want a set of IRC's (not recommended) I have the stock pair in my attic, took them off right after purchase. Best you get Michelin city grips though.
