Seat was finished on Saturday, really happy with the outcome, the fit and finish is better than the factory seat, and it is really comfortable, and most important i got the much needed leg room, so now i can use the raised foot rests!
highly recommended for those taller riders with Forzas!
and of course some photos

I had an otherwise good riding Kymco scooter with a wicked bad seat which limited my riding to 40 mins max. The issue was with a large ridge in the seat pan. Asian sized riders sat forward of the ridge.
I bought a $35 seat on ebay....and some purpose made seat foam on the web as well as Sailrite 4 way stretch seat vinyl and built my self an all morning comfy seat. Much trial and error, and several test rides before final covering.
Some day I'll take it in and have an upholstery shop stitch a handsome cover.
I turned a ridged seat into a 60's style straight motorcylce seat (remember?...the girl was the same height as her boy friend. ....rather than perched ridiculously up there as they do now.)
A comfortable seat makes a huge difference in scooter enjoyment! !
Very nice job on your Forza seat.

Wow! I don't own a Forza but that seat of yours looks "Totally Awesome!" I'd love me one of those on WN. I'm betting that Your butt and this saddle can go "To Infinity and Beyond!" Ouchless!
Cheers, well done!

hi guys, thanks for the kind words. i am very happy with the look and comfort of the new seat and am finally able to use the raised foot rests on the forza, so big improvement in my opinion
next todo is to tilt the handle bars back a bit so they can clear the knees a bit better on tight turns
re thr price i paid 280 euros (300 usd)
they are one of the more expensive upholsterers on the island, but their work is absolutely top notch, and took 3 days total, so worth it in my opinion
just wanted to share some photos, I am having my seat redone and upholstered to remove the backrest and gain a few extra inches of leg room
I took it in yesterday, and should be ready tomorrow
These photos are from the first day
The general shape of the seat is now in place, they just need to now refine the foam shape and round it all off and smoothen it out a bit
will add more photos later today with the progress
...
Nice looking seat! I think the stock seat is the worst feature of an otherwise great scooter. I live in Australia and had my seat re-shaped and trimmed by a guy in Goulburn, NSW.
"HE HAD offices in Sydney, not so many years ago,
And his shingle bore the legend 'Peter Anderson and Co.',
But his real name was Careless, as the fellows understood-
And his relatives decided that he wasn't any good." Henry Lawson, August, 1895
We decided to go the custom route as well. Picked it up last week, got it on this weekend, and got to go for a bit of a ride today. We spent a fair bit of money, but I am now back and higher, and the Admiral can see over my helmet. She is far more comfortable with the height, a gel pad, and memory foam. Road irregularities that used to be painful are now barely annoying (although I still don't want to hit anything big).
Here is a pic of the in-progress seat. The guy spent at least two hours fussing and sculpting it until we (mostly she) was happy.

We are looking forward to a nice long ride once the weather actually breaks here in New England, but the maiden voyage was just fine.
On my scoot, getting there is WAY more than half the fun!
