Lowering bracket, has anyone tried?

I have them on my Forza. They're good parts and look nice. They lower the seat height maybe 30-50 mm and I think they improve the ride as well. Easy to install, but I had to cut the black plastic fender a little on the right side so it wouldn't rub on my YSS shock reservoir.

I haven't changed my front forks; they seem fine to me. There are several good pictures of the rear shock extenders on the thread called "Hello From Thailand" on page 2 of the Forza/general forum.

Anyone have a link to these brackets for the new forza 300 or do they all fit the same for both years?

I just installed them on my 2014 Forza and am happy with hem...the slightly lower seat is nice when having to back up using your feet and the ride may be slightly less jolting. But there is one downside...it's a LOT harder to get the scoot up on the center stand! The stand hits the ground farther back then designed for, causing a loss of leverage. So if you are a light weight weakling like myself (135 lbs ready to ride), be aware of this. I have found that running the rear wheel up onto a 1/2" thick piece of wood first makes it again easy to get on the center stand. These links raise the rear wheel only about 3/8" when scooter on the center stand...rider/scooter weight and spring pre-load setting will change that when it's on it's wheels.

I have a pair I bought for my xmax and took them off after a few people from Thailand told me they are seeing these brackets vector the force back instead of down And cracking the case.....There is a real good picture of a failed unit right here on the Advrider site

I think a better way to go is a shorter shock.

Actually the thickness of the wood block is 11/16"

Can’t you cut the fork springs down?

There is not a lot of play in the forks as standard and shortening the fork springs would make it even less with the chance of hitting the front mudguard when braking hard.

True. Try it with added preload (coins) or uprated springs?

My dealer put a bit of plastic pipe in the forks, I guess to increase the preload.

My real problem was that the forks had virtually no oil in them from the factory. It rode really bad with no oil.

Now it works pretty good.
