Best way to lift a Froza 300 to change rear shocks

Does anybody know the best way lift and stabilize the Forza 300 to change rear shock?

I would hang it from my ceiling in my shed or use a bike lift. You could also change one shock at a time maybe using the centre stand. A piece of 2x4 jammed in the right place could also be used.

Put it up on center stand and do one side at a time. No 2x4 or other lever needed...virtually no spring load to overcome when Forza on center stand as shock is pretty much fully extended.

I am going to adjust the settings on mine and as you all know the exhaust gets in the way at the back for the spanner to get in there.

If I put it on the center stand and unbolt that shock at the bottom so I can pull it back to adjust the setting, do I need and type of Threadlocker to bolt it back up?

Also, does anyone know offhand what size spanner/wrench I need for the bolt on the shock?

I am looking at the YSS TC-302-400T but I don't want to spend the money yet and https://bikerzbits.com/honda-forza-nss- ... orber.html are charging a lot more on the .com than the .co.th part of their site not including shipping once you do currency conversion.

Hang on the product specs say...

Loctite Threadlocker Red 271 is designed for the permanent locking and sealing of threaded fasteners. The product cures when confined in the absence of air between close fitting metal surfaces. It protects threads from rust and corrosion and prevents loosening from shock and vibration. It is only removable once cured by heating up parts to 500°F (260°C).

I want to be able to undo it one day...lol.

I would use the loctite Blue for the bolts on your shocks. I have great success with the blue and use it for all of the fasteners.
Do not use the torque specs. in the manual, they are set for steel and most after market shocks are aluminum. so no more the 4-7 inch lbs.
with the loctite just a little past tight let it set you should have no issues.

Funny, I went through the tool pouch and found that I have the Honda Factory shock adjuster kit included.
I'm going to try the softest setting to see if that makes it a bit more compliant. I am only 76Kg.

I'm not ready to go and buy new shocks this month or next.

I see this is from last year. How did the new shocks perform? Is the ride better?

I am 90 kg and I have my rear shocks on full soft.

I jam a big screwdriver in the shock spring and gently pry upward to turn the adjuster by hand.

I like it better on full soft, full hard was harsh.
