Rear shocks upgrade options?

Whilst cleaning and generally familiarizing myself with my bike I came upon the rear shocks and looking at them they seem to be original parts and are looking a little worse for wear as I will be dismantling most of the bike for a overhaul in general now is as good of a time to make changes as any so what are good shocks for the pcx any suggestions would be brilliant thanks lots

I fitted a pair of YSS Z-series shocks 2 years ago, still very happy. Speed bumps and such are so much better. Back end much more predictable. Got them at Bikerzbitz.com.

Powerbypcx.com has some as well. Compare prices. I'm not sure which one works on your particular bike version though. 2012 was an odd year. My bike as built in mid 2012 but was considered a 2013 model. In your part of the world they may go by the manufacture date. In any case, powerbypcx.com use to give us a 10% discount, but I am not sure how that works.

My bike as built in mid 2012 but was considered a 2013 model. In your part of the world they may go by the manufacture date. Yes we have a strange system to make it easy to explain you can split the year in two the first half of the year would get the last two digits of that year in my case 12 the second half would be 62

Thais like this Ohlins brand so much for their PCx, I don't know why.

Also, I can't justify a $500 price tag for a rear shock..

I also bought and installed the YSS Z-series shocks from Bikerbitz. They are adjustable and I like them much better than the stock shocks!

which shocks would work on a 2018 150? ive been wondering myself and def need something since im heavy. granted, the stocks arent the worst ive seen, but they could be better.

I would suspect that the 2018 model is the same as the 2017 model, aside from color changes. YSS Z-Series works quite well on the PCX...unless you have a spare $500 for Ohlins.

I was quite happy with my stock PCX for a couple of years - and then I finally saw the light and started upgrading things. I needed more power, so I purchased a bigger engine. The bigger engine required substantive chassis & transmission changes, but I bit the bullet and had them done. The extra power and speed were incredible, but sadly, they exposed flaws in the PCX brakes and tyres - so I upgraded them too. Very please with how it's all turned out, but I do have to say that my bike is now virtually unrecognisable from it's original form. I'll post a photo shortly.
