Hi David from Thailand , want to change the pads on a 2013 Honda pcx 150 prestige problem is the front forks have a plastic shroud that makes putting a box spanner on the caliper retaining bolts not possible on the bottom bolt. The plastic shroud has the axle bolt going through it so to remove it looks like have remove the axle to get the plastic off ! I have looked extensively on you tube and searched google but cannot find another example of the plastic cover over the front fork leg.
Now I am thinking of changing the direction of the front axle so the nut is on the caliper side and I can lift the plastic off with the nut off , if I take the axle out will the wheel and bits fall out of position or will they remain roughly in situ so I can quickly reinsert the axle from the other side ?

Any other ideas ? Thanks.

Before starting this job you'll need to prop the front of the scooter up with something to raise the front wheel clear of the ground.
I used an old car battery.

Once you get the spindle out you'll be able to see if the bolt holes in the forks are the same size.
Four decades on two wheels has taught me nothing, all advice given is guaranteed to be wrong
