This 163cc Kymco is a 2012, 14000+ miles, runs great, no issues with the panels WSE. Not a Honda, but 1/2 the $.Limey wrote:My DW had a TaoTao Roman (150cc) that looked just like that - same colour even. After 2 years I had to scrap it, as the plastics kept breaking and I could no longer get replacements. Mechanics were pretty good, but after fiber-glassing parts back together multiple times, and then being unable to get the replacement parts that I wanted, I called it a day.![]()

Aah. The read somewhere fact..Mel46 wrote:I read somewhere recently that Kymco has some subcontracts with Honda, so some of the major parts OR even the entire scooter could be made for Honda by Kymco. Up until 1963, according to what I've read, Kymco did manufacture parts for Honda. Then they split from Honda and formed their own company and marketed their first scooter in 1992 under the "KYMCO" brand. The rest is history. They were originally a Taiwanese company but also have manufacturing plants in other countries.I read somewhere recently that Kymco has some subcontracts with Honda, so some of the major parts OR even the entire scooter could be made for Honda by Kymco.
