There's been some miserable weather around here over the last few days. Last Saturday was a Nor'easter, and yesterday was a clipper system - lots of rain/wind.
Sunday was at least clear - and in the 50's.
The lighthouse is Point Judith (also a Coast Guard station), the 'hump' not on the seat was a WWII gun emplacement, now a memorial.
Not too many fair weather riding days left...

Re: Fisherman's Memorial
Great pic with the PCX!
I've been by Point Judy before. . .but further up from where you took the pic.
Rhode Island has some nice beach areas and Newport is awesome.
The weather I get is similar to what you get so I understand what you mean about the sudden colder temps, unwelcome rain events, and an oversupply of wind. That said I try to ride year 'round unless the road conditions prohibit. Hope for some warmer days at least until Thanksgiving.

Re: Fisherman's Memorial
I visited my relatives in RI a number of years ago and did a bit of sightseeing. Fond memories and great weather. We had worked our way up from New York and later met more of the family in Boston and finished with a nice break at their Woods Hole retreat on Cape Cod. Fantastic trip.
