ALOHA from new member!
ALOHA from Hawaii! I'm from Mililani on the island of Oahu. A Proud retired US NAVY veteran. Very happy to be the new owner of a PCX 150 on 1/12/13. I'll post some photos of my PCX (red, stock for now) from spots around the island. We have been having some rain the past few days, so hope to get some photos and go out riding this weekend. I'm a scuba diver, bicycle "Century Rider", and enjoy metal detecting on the beach. Thanks for all the wonderful information posted on the Forum, glad to be a member. Scubascout

Gday and welcome. You must be able to ride all year round like we can do in Oz. Here is a thread with pics of someone strapping a metal detector to his PCX: http://hondapcx.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=594&hilit

Hi Taz, Thanks for the welcome from "Down Under"! I've made a few trips to your wonderful part of the world on US NAVY ships, enjoyed some great diving and good beer! Thanks! Scubascout

Hi Scubascout! First let me say thank you for your service, and welcome from Arizona! I love metal detecting, but haven't done it in a long time. We've hit a "cold snap" in Arizona so I haven't ridden this week, but I plan to post some pictures soon. Hopefully you will too!

Re: ALOHA from new member!
Hi MS_Sparky and Maddiedog, Thanks for the welcome! I would love to go metal detecting in AZ, might find an old west treasure! I work at Pearl Harbor Shipyard in Quality Assurance. I do Non Destructive Testing for weld inspections and critical coating paint inspections for flight decks and inside fuel and potable water tanks. I sometimes conduct inspections of contractor work who are working in the yard. Very busy right now, in the middle of an overhaul and upgrades on one of our DDG's (Destroyer). Hope to get some riding in this weekend, still adjusting the PCX to me, thinking about rotating the bars forward a bit? Still learning how to post and need to review how to post photo's. Thanks again for all the great info. Scubascout!
Re: ALOHA from new member!
If you are tall or have long arms like me then rotating the handlebars fwd helps. Just use quality hardened metric Allen (Hex) keys. Those black L shaped cheap ones are no good for loosening factory tightened bolts! You prob also need to loosen and tilt the brake assembly each side too. All quick and easy to do.

Hello Scubascout and welcome aboard! Wow, metal detecting....what's your biggest find? I imagine lots of stuff washes up in Oahu
Always wanted to give it a go in Florida, but never happened. Also would like a dig for gems. Maybe, one day.
Look forward to seeing some pics when you get a chance
