Re: How-To: Install a 12v Accessory Socket

I found an external battery case with AA batteries... REALLY easy ;)

I guess I should have noted that I copied that from their site...

Re: CycleShell

The nice thing about the shed-type is you can put a lot of other stuff in there.
Really, I just wanted to see if anyone has tried the CycleShell... guess not!
(It's the right size- a shed is too big, and I really don't have the inclination to build one)

Re: CycleShell

what is your connection with CycleShell ? ??? Didn't I ASK about it? If I was promoting it, I'd say I have one and it's the greatest thing ever. Seems a very odd (subtle) accusation. Anyway, I have a regular cover- It's a bit of a pain to put on/take off, can't when it's hot and I wouldn't trust it...

Re: Not going to order the PCX because . . . . .

I found that the smaller windshields only redirect more air onto your face
Good info~ I guess even the Honda windscreen is too small?

Re: Updating the seat

I guess if I screw it up I can order another seat (but I don't have an air stapler... have a compressor, though!)

Re: CycleShell

How much snow load will the CycleShell™ hold?
The CycleShell™ is designed for year-round outdoor use, including winter weather. However, we do recommend brushing off snow if it there is heavy accumulation.

Re: CycleShell

You would be better to treat your scooter with ACF50 and leave it out in the fresh air imo.
Well, not in the winter! (Live in New England). And they mention venting... but I will check out ACF50

Re: CycleShell

Thanks, I think I'm going to order the mid-size CycleShell (the smaller is just tall enough for mirror, but likely wouldn't cover trunk when I get one). And- one thing that just irks me about motorcycles is the NOISE! So loud and (sorry) obnoxious... and some actually install "loud" pipes!...

Re: Not going to order the PCX because . . . . .

Best thing for that is a decent full face helmet.
Guess I'll take 2nd best ;)
(No highway riding... and yeah, I know the statistics)

Re: Not going to order the PCX because . . . . .

In the context of my earlier post in this thread, the S-wing's large fairing and screen keeps the wind and rain off you better
Ah, thanks.
As a new rider, I'm trying to figure out how big a screen is needed to cut the wind (especially from face/ears)on my PCX150...

Re: Updating the seat

I've thought about how to get rid of that hump! If anyone knows how to get it done in the US (maybe over the winter?) I'd love to know.

Re: CycleShell

Just rode a Suzuki 250 when taking the motorcycle course... I'm in my 50's, ridden a bicycle all my life. Wanted an alternative to my motor vehicle (Sienna van). I just think twistngo, easy parking and QUIET operation (not to mention incredible gas mileage) is so much better (than a "real"...

CycleShell

New to forum... Love my PCX150. Not sure why anyone would prefer a noisy, heavy mult-piston bike (unless long rides are common).
Anyway, anyone have experience with this enclosure? http://www.cycleshell.com/specs.html
