When you consider that you can get a 300cc Maxi for very similar money it starts to look a bit expensive.
Theboybilly wrote:My only concern would be the effect the extra weight would have on performance but I've since heard top speed, acceleration and economy are still very good for a 125cc machine.
It has a higher top speed than a PCX but is not as agile in traffic.
Theboybilly wrote:Is it worth a third as much again as the PCX? It would seem so.
I don't think so which is why I got the PCX.

I'd be curious to see the swing parked next to a PCX for size comparison. Lou, is it much bigger? (I ask because of your small garage big bike comment)

I'll see if I can park up next to a pcx at the local honda dealer when he has them out! Or if the ball and chains aunty comes over I'll get a pic, it does appear a lot bigger but the top box does make it look a lot bigger too

I happened to pull up next to an S-wing at lunchtime today and snapped some quick pics on my phone remembering this thread...

Is that Swing the same as a Silver Wing? We have 400cc or 600cc used Silver Wings available in Oz but cant buy them new any more.

In Europe the S-wing 125 is model designation FES and the Silverwing 600 is model designation FJS.
The two machines are entirely different and completely unrelated.
The FJS 600 has been superceded in mainland Europe by the updated SW-T models which remain unavailable in the UK.

In the context of my earlier post in this thread, the S-wing's large fairing and screen keeps the wind and rain off you better than the much smaller bodywork and screen of the PCX.

Ah, thanks.
As a new rider, I'm trying to figure out how big a screen is needed to cut the wind (especially from face/ears)on my PCX150...

Best thing for that is a decent full face helmet.

Depthman -- related to your windshield, I found that the smaller windshields only redirect more air onto your face. You'll want the tall Ermax windshield or the tall Givi windshield to keep the air over your head.

In my opinion, yes. The Honda windshield and the other smaller windshields do look much cooler though.
