Re: GIVI mirror extension kit wrong threads
Wow, there's some good info here! Now to 'throw the cat amongst the pigeons' ....... my mirrors do not screw into the threaded bosses which form part of the brake assemblies. They thread into small brackets attached to the brakes like this:- 2013-04-08-610_WEB.jpg 2013-04-08-607_WEB.jpg I have a 125...

Re: Emergency Honda PCX Roadside Tools & Instructions
Looks like you have done a lot of homework in preparation for your travels. Just one point about changing the tyre if you have to do this - how do you propose 'breaking the bead'. Very often this is the hardest part of the job, particularly with tubeless tyres as on the PCX. If you have not already ...

Re: Mirrors
Wait!!! Before buying these mirrors just check that the PCX does have YAMAHA type threads. Most bikes have different left hand/ right hand mirror threads, but Yamaha have the same thread on both mirrors that mean they don't fit most bikes. I'm not sure whether the PCX has this type of thread, so my ...

Re: Pushing Spring...
Wonderful pictures - and great inspiration for us all to get out ..... once things warm up a little. I was interested to see the temperature was 48 degrees (about 9 degrees Celsius) which is a bit warmer than here in England over the past few days. Nice to have such lovely scenery within a day's rid...

Re: Handlebar Muffs
Funnily enough I was attempting to fit my Oxford Bonedry Muffs to the PCX this afternoon. http://www.oxprod.com/index.php?pg=3&action=dept&id=133&pid=177 In the past - and on other motorbikes - I have bolted them through the bar ends to make them fit better, and stop the front of the muf...

Re: Honda PCX - Back from First Ride
At some time or other all of us have left our traffic indicators on - often due to concentrating on some difficult roundabout or junction. If you are lucky you will notice before oncoming traffic does. I've had a car pull out in front of me, because he thought I was turning left, and I have verbally...

Re: Horn!
Should be easier to find than the existing horn button - which because of the unusual location I struggle to find quickly when I need it!
Anyone else have this problem?
I'm so used to the horn being below the indicator switch.

Re: VOLTMETER for PCX !
In response to al_aizad, a voltmeter can be used to check the charging system of a scooter/motorcycle. By checking the voltage across the two battery terminals ....... i) when the engine is stopped and ignition off ii) when the engine is running but at idle revs iii) when the engine is running at hi...

This is it I believe:- http://www.powerbypcx.com/achat-accroche-casque-ou-sac-bikers-211492.html Not sure I'd use it though - what's wrong with a fold-up mini-rucksack like this :- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HANDY-SACK-FOLD-AWAY-BACK-PACK-RUCKSACK-COMPACT-BAG-OXFORD-SCOOTER-CYCLE-BIKE-/261160020734?p...

Re: Dealer Service ...... or not?
Thanks very much everyone for your help. Think I'll be doing my own servicing from now on then. Besides being far cheaper, I'll have the satisfaction of knowing it's been done properly.

Dealer Service ...... or not?
Okay, my second service (2500 miles) will be due in about 5 weeks time, and the PCX is only five months old. I have a two year warranty, and the dealer did the first service (cost me £50). The second service is likely to cost around £100-£150, but this will not include the valve check (Honda have ap...

Re: GPS mounts
I've tried using the satnav cases that clip on to bike/motorbike handlebars, (similar to the link above) but just can not see through the clear vinyl front because of reflections. It's not too bad in dull cloudy conditions, but on the rare day we get any sunshine I may as well do without. At the mom...

Hi. These are the cheapest mushroom plugs I've found on the UK's ebay site:- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TYRE-PUNCTURE-REPAIR-WIRED-6MM-PLUG-PATCH-MUSHROOM-CAR-TRACTOR-VAN-QUAD-TRIKE-/321040111847?pt=UK_Cars_Tyres_RL&hash=item4abf7b58e7 To be honest I can't remember if these are the exact same one...

Yet Another Seat Mod?
Well possibly, but I'll give it a few long rides to decide! Having experienced the 'joy' of the limited seat space on the PCX because of the seat hump, tonight I finally got round to doing something about it. I unbolted the hump and went for a good ride to see if comfort improved ......... and what ...

Re: Headlight upgrade?
Hmmm. The problem of headlights not allowing you to 'see' around a corner are well known, and the new(ish) BMW K1600 has electronic adaptive headlights to get round this. I suppose adding more lateral lighting may help, but you might run into problems with oncoming traffic when on a straight bit of ...

Thanks Taz. I've been reading around since posting above and discovered there were a few fakes out there. I've now ordered one from one of the sellers listed and will post some clips in a few weeks all being well.
Thanks again.
Tom.
